Can't say enough good things about our experience with Peter Wald for our daughter's bat mitzvah photography.

Peter was great at the shoot: Calm. Puts you at ease. Funny with kids and adults. Was beyond patient and connected so well with the whole family, from 6 years old to 80+! He has no ego and just wants to make you happy -- so there is a lot of dialogue about the various shots and he went out of his way to make sure that we got every single photo that we wanted taken before he was done.

Not only did Peter create an easy, dare I say 'fun' shoot experience (coming from someone for whom these things drum up a lot of anxiety), but he is incredibly talented and all of our photos turned out so beautifully. I've given him permission to share many of them, so feel free to ask him for a peak.

In sum, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Peter Wald Photography: he creates a calm, fun shoot environment, is talented, generous with his time, reasonably priced and we were thrilled with the output.

We have two more b*mitzvahs coming up and will def be hiring Peter again!

I hired Peter Wald Photography for a surprise 50th birthday party for my sister in September 2023. Peter was extremely professional and friendly from our very first communication. He always responded to any questions right away. A few weeks before the party I had to change the start time to line up with other activities I had planned and Peter was very accommodating. He really understood the ideas how I wanted the pictures to turn out. We did family portraits as well as candids. Peter paid so much attention to detail and really made everyone comfortable and laugh so the pictures didn’t look staged. Peter is very funny and had lots of tips for making us look more natural. As for the pictures themselves, they were fabulous! The lighting, clarity and color was perfect. I would definitely hire Peter again for any event I plan. He was above and beyond what I was expecting and I expect a lot when it comes to photography. If you are looking for a great photographer who is friendly, professional and not going to overcharge you, hire Peter.

I have known Peter for over 20 years, and he did my headshots and lifestyle photos in NYC. I use these photos today for my business as he was able to capture the true essence of my brand and personality. All of the editing I needed after the photos were completed, Peter did, and additionally, he even edited a photo a month ago as I have a podcast coming out and wanted an untouched photo, touched. Peter knew how to make me smile, genuinely. He was patient with his time, and expertise and was so open to my ideas.

Although people might say to get new headshots every few years, I am not, because I love these so much. When I am ready again, I will fly from Florida to NY to work with Peter again! I have added the photos Peter captured. He is a true artist!

Peter did our family photo shoot this past year- he was so much fun to be around which was reflected in our photos. He was also super patient when we were slow to make decisions since there were so many great images.

Peter has done several shoots for our family over the years, and continue to be impressed with his work. Peter is so wonderful. Not only does he catch the perfect lighting for his photos but he’s also an extremely nice person. He is so accommodating. He came out multiple times for an infant shoot just to get the right photos. He is silly with the kids and gets great candid shots as a result. I highly recommend Peter for your family portraits and infant photos!

Peter has done my family photos for the last 4 years; he is professional, prompt, and has a great setup. Peter always works with me on my vision for the photos- he has a strong balance of providing ideas and listening to what I want. My kids love working with him, and he was especially wonderful during both of their cake smash photo shoots. Not only are the shots beautiful, he captures all of our personalities beautifully. I’ve also used Peter to do yearly holiday cards, and he is always on time with delivery and makes something custom to our yearly theme. We even used him to make photo albums for the grandparents! I highly recommend Peter and have loved everything I’ve worked with him for!!
