When treating his patients to improve their quality of life, he uses a multidisciplinary approach to pain management that includes physical rehabilitation, medication management, and minimally invasive procedures. He treats a wide variety of conditions, including back and neck pain, joint pain, myofascial and muscular pain, neuropathic pain, sciatica and radiculopathy, abdominal pain, and postsurgical pain. His clinical interests include neuromodulation, such as spinal cord stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation. He’s also interested in kyphoplasty and vertebral augmentation, as well as medical student education. Qadeer is an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Qadeer grew up in Houston. He completed medical school, his general surgery internship, and his anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He pursued further training at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, where he completed his fellowship in interventional pain medicine. He stays up to date on the latest technologies, clinical practices, and techniques in the interventional pain medicine field by attending national conferences and being involved with professional societies. He’s a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
