Dr. McKenney was recruited to join the Weill Cornell Medicine faculty after completing an Integrated Interventional/Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program in NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, NY. While pursuing her M.D. from Cornell University, Dr. McKenney was a member of the Weill Cornell Board of Overseers, and was awarded the Elise Strang L’Esperance Prize in Public Health for her dedication to global health education. She earned a Ph.D. for her work in translational oncology and cancer biology at the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; this work resulted in several high impact publications that have built the foundation for ongoing acute myeloid leukemia clinical trials. She additionally holds an M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. McKenney is dedicated to improving her patients' health and quality of life through minimally invasive techniques, and she is committed to improving patient care through research and education.
