His family immigrated to Sacramento in the mid-1990s, where Dr. Tovmassian graduated from Mira Loma High School. He received a degree in science prior to being accepted to the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland. After completing the four-year program, he graduated and was accepted to his top choice residency program at Kaiser Santa Clara in California.
