STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAW FIRM!

I strongly recommend staying away from this law firm.

From the beginning and until just two days before the hearing, they repeatedly gave us the impression that they were confident we would win the case. Then, literally the night before the hearing, everything suddenly changed. They became extremely insistent that we should withdraw the case.

It felt like watching a lazy student wait until the night before an important exam to finally start studying. After months of confidence, suddenly, at the very last minute, they were telling us that withdrawing was the best option. This left us seriously questioning how thoroughly our case had actually been prepared beforehand.

Then, on the morning of court, we were told that if we agreed to withdraw the case, they would give us a **50% discount on our legal bill**. Based in part on what we were told, we agreed to withdraw.

What happened afterward was even worse.

Instead of receiving the promised 50% discount, we were presented with charges totaling approximately **2.5 TIMES the amount we had originally discussed.**

Think about that: they initially quoted us much lower fees, remained confident about the case until almost the last minute, urged us to withdraw right before the hearing, offered us a 50% discount if we withdrew, and then after we actually withdrew, they did not honor that discount and instead charged us approximately 2.5 times the amount originally discussed.

In our experience, their words and their actions simply did not match.

No attorney can guarantee the outcome of a case, and losing or withdrawing a case by itself is not the reason for this review. The problem is the way our case was handled, the last-minute change in direction, the promises regarding billing, and what we were ultimately charged.

If you are considering hiring this firm, **GET ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IN WRITING** — every quote, every fee, every discount, and every promise. Do not rely on verbal assurances.

We deeply regret hiring this firm and would never use them again.

After a very difficult nine-month legal ordeal, we are incredibly grateful to the team at Fox and Moghul for standing by our family. Because our case involved serious Virginia real estate litigation it was extremely important to us to have attorneys who specifically understood real estate law, real estate disclosures, inspections, contracts, and fraud, not just general litigation.

Throughout the process, they kept us calm, informed, and reassured during an incredibly high-stress experience.  In the end, they were successful in getting the case dismissed.

Quality legal representation during serious litigation is not inexpensive, but when your family and peace of mind are on the line, experience and preparation matter. We never wanted the cheapest attorneys — we wanted the right attorneys — and we genuinely felt this firm fought hard for us every step of the way.

I would also say this: clients have responsibilities too. Be honest with your lawyers, communicate with them, trust the process, and respect the amount of work that goes into serious litigation. Our experience with this firm was that they worked tirelessly on our behalf throughout an incredibly difficult situation.

We would highly recommend Fox and Moghul to anyone facing serious real estate litigation and needing attorneys who are both outstanding advocates and genuinely compassionate people.

I would strongly advise against using this office based on my experience.
I paid $350 for an initial consultation after submitting all the required documents and evidence for my case. During a phone conversation, Mr. Moghul stated that I had a valid case and instructed his assistant to proceed, quoting a fee of $5,150 to begin.
After this, I waited nearly three weeks, repeatedly following up for updates. Eventually, I was informed that, after further review, there was nothing that could be done in my situation. Despite this, I was charged nearly $2,000 in total without any meaningful outcome.
The lack of transparency, inconsistent communication, and the significant fees charged without results were extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not use their services again and cannot recommend them to others.

Fox & Moghul helped me resolve a utility company easement request. I’d initially tried to handle it on my own but eventually realized I was in way over my head. From the initial consultation with Terry Fox, I felt comfortable their firm was the right choice. Terry provided explanations in layman’s terms, answered the list of questions I’d prepared, and was very clear what he could help with and how.

We had a couple meetings by phone and everything else was communicated via email and I was regularly updated. I was promptly notified when there was a conflict and quickly rescheduled. It never felt like my job was too small or that I was being rushed during meetings. All items were completed within the timeframe Terry specified and billing was transparent.

Terry ultimately achieved the outcome I wanted but I would wholeheartedly recommend Fox & Moghul regardless for their integrity, knowledge, and consistent communication.
