Dr. Ly received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She received her dermatology training at Dartmouth, where she served as chief resident and was the laser and cosmetic fellow at Skin and Lasers Surgery Specialists, training under Dr. David Goldberg.
