NW Natural has been reliable and easy to work with. Service has been consistent, communication is clear, and any questions or concerns have been handled professionally.

I also appreciate how easy it is to request a technician if you have a gas fireplace or other gas appliances and want to make sure everything is operating properly. Overall, I’ve had a positive experience with NW Natural.

They shut off my gas with no warning for standard meter maintenance. Said they need to enter home to restart and gave me a window of 8am- midnight for a technician to show up. Working mother of 2 young kids and life completely put on hold with no reasonable warning by gas company. Cant cook or leave home until someone arrives... and im told a midnight arrival is possible?!

I got a call from a representative of this company recently. He explained that there was a new program where customers could sign up to help the company offset costs and thay 97000 people had already signed up. He then told me how much the fee would be for me (8$ a month).
I told him that the fee was more than a 50% increase of my average monthly bill and that i couldnt do that right now. He then proceeded to repeat "8$" to me with a rude/disbelieving tone on his voice as if me saying no was disgusting.
This company profited over 113million dollars last year! and theyre asking customers to pay an extra fee to offset their costs!?!?!?! 113million in profts and they want working people to pay more so they pay less at a time when people are struggling financially more than ever!
i will absolutely be talking to my husband about buying an electric burner for cooking and shutting off our gas completely and ill be encouraging everyone else in my building and anyone i know to do the same if they can.
i feel bad for the 97000 other people theyre already screwing out of almost 1milliom dollars a month under the guise of "being greener"

North West Natural sent their technician out today, and he did excellent work! His name is Trevor, and he got my electric fireplace going after being shut off for 11 years. He thoroughly cleaned every part and made sure the gas lines were working well. Then, he did the same for our furnace and gas meter. It all looks brand new! Mine you, this was all a free service from North West Natural. Well done!

This company is a scam. My meter was broken by someone and so they stopped sending me any bills for three months. They ended up telling me that I have the responsibility to protect the meter, which by the way is a damn joke when I’m located in downtown Portland. The real issue is that after the three months they sent me a bill for over 1600 dollars when I average about 200 dollars a month at the most. When I asked how they came up with this number they can’t tell give me a reasonable explanation that makes any sense especially when the meter was broken. If it weren’t for the fact that I really don’t have any alternative companies to choose from, I would have terminated my service with NW Natural long ago.
