Words are insufficient to adequately express how grateful my husband and I are for the tender, loving, and compassionate care that the Family Hospice staff provided to my mom during the final ten months of her life in assisted living at The Palmettos. Everyone, from Kelly Duffy the sales manager, to the nursing staff, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers treated her with respect, dignity, and patience. I offer particular “shout outs” to Jessica Felty, her principal nurse, and to Heather Gage, her main social worker, for the loving relationships they created with my mom, but also for providing our family with support and guidance throughout this difficult time. They truly put the “family” in Family Hospice. Many, many thanks!

Our experience with Family Hospice has been nothing short of amazing. Everyone we have had contact with from the Caroline Walasek/sales manager to all of the amazing nursing staff have treated us with the utmost respect and helpfullness. We first became associated with the Greenville, SC branch and when we knew my mother in Charleston, SC could benefit from your services, you added her to your clientele. You treated her with such love and respect during her time with you. And your staff was absulutely wonderful when she went through her decline and ultimately passed just a few months ago. Our 95 year old aunt is now one of your clients, and once again, we feel like she is in the best hands. Thank you for all that you do for patients as well as their families.

The care provided by Family Hospice is truly amazing. The care and compassion the aides and nurses give to residents during a difficult time is comforting. All the staff go above and beyond the minimum and support the family members every step of the way. Hospice care is a calling and Family Hospice employees exceed expectations.

Family Hospice of Charleston goes above and beyond to help families with their loved ones during very stressful and uncertain times. We contacted Family Hospice through our hospital and they immediately sent representatives directly to us in order to discuss our case. We needed at home care as soon as possible. They immediately coordinated everything, to include in-home equipment, nurses and staff, as well as transportation from the hospital to the residence. The request was extremely short notice and Family Hospice of Charleston was able to coordinate this request within a short period of time. Their diligence and care provided our loved one with his wish and gave our family peace of mind and comfort. Everybody on the hospice team was immediately available to answer questions, provide needed care, and to help our loved one. I would like to personally thank Misty, Corey, Ashley, and the rest of the team for the care they provided. They are a truly dedicated, professional, and compassionate team.
