It’s our first time dining at this restaurant. We ordered Big Plate Chicken, 6-Hour Braised Lamb Shank Pilaf, Uyghur Special Milk Tea, Honey Lemon Tea and Mango Yogurt Sticky Rice Dumpling. Everything is delicious and beyond our expectations. We’ll be back definitely. Highly recommended!

As someone who grew up in Xinjiang, I was excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to my expectations. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes or the kitchen was simply having an off day.

We ordered the Big Plate Chicken, wood ear salad, eggplant, and the Wellington style lamb shank. The Big Plate Chicken was a bit bland, and the potatoes were overcooked. Both the wood ear and eggplant tasted almost entirely of salt without much depth of flavor. The lamb shank was the best of the meal. It was tender, looked great, and I’d give that dish around 3.8/5 stars.

The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, and the service was friendly. However, based on this experience, I didn’t find the food to be very authentic or up to the standard I was hoping for.

We ordered the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles, beef chow mein, garlic naan, grilled lamb chops, lamb skewers, and baked buns.

As someone from Henan, I thought the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles tasted somewhat similar to the style back home, and overall it was probably the best dish we had this time. The garlic naan was decent, and the lamb skewers were also okay.

However, the grilled lamb chops were disappointing. The meat was way too tough and almost impossible to chew. After we mentioned it to the staff, they kindly removed the dish from our bill, which I appreciated.

Later, we also ordered beef chow mein and baked buns. The beef chow mein was pretty average. As for the baked buns, it did seem like there was more meat filling than before, but the flavor was different from what I remembered. They weren’t as fragrant, didn’t have much juice inside, and overall tasted a bit dry, so they weren’t really to my taste.

Overall, the food here feels different from when the restaurant first opened, and I’m not sure if the chef has changed. Based on the dishes I tried this time, I’d say the stir-fried hand-pulled noodles are still worth trying, but I’d be cautious about ordering the other dishes. I also visited the Mountain View location for lunch, but personally I wouldn’t recommend that one either, since they didn’t have stir-fried noodle dishes and only offered soup noodles.

This was my first time trying Uyghur cuisine, and I was pleasantly surprised! I got the lamb pilaf set, and everything about it was cooked perfectly. My friends got some noodles and wraps, which seemed amazing. They also gave us the amine yogurt dessert as a complimentary gift, which was also nice. My only complaint is that their default tipping rates were set a bit high, when considering that we were there for lunch. Overall, I would definitely come back to try the other items on their menu!

Good restaurant. Pretty clean. Very spic for most. Like a jalapeno worth of spice. I wish they took the bone out of the big plate chicken. Or have chicken with bigger bones. Good flavors on the noodles and rice. The braised beef is fairly flavorless. It kind of tasted like pho meat, which isn't what I was going for. The spices on the table are honestly less spicy than the food itself. Service is bleh. Could be better. Kind of have to flag people down.
