It's a homey American breakfast/lunch place. They treat all customers just like their family: make sure you got what you want. Foods are amazing👌🏽 I enjoy the informal interactions. The place is not big but full lots of love. You can feel it. No wonder this place always packed with lots of people.

The food was ok, nothing special. But the place is filthy. If you can eat and not look at anything, then you can get by. But everywhere you look it is disgusting. I don't know how they get by the health department. And forget going to the restroom. Then you really get grossed out because the restroom is where they prepare the food. Yuck!!!

This was our second visit. The food here is excellent! Although they serve traditional diner fare, the food tastes fresh, well seasoned, well cooked and clean (not greasy). Even the corned beef has I order which is typically greasy was really good. The way they prepared it was nice and crunch on the outside. The service was exceptional. The servers were friendly and attentive. The only downside is the limited space given the demand. So get there early especially on the weekend.

Nick’s Diner in Wheaton, Maryland is one of my favorite breakfast spots! The International Omelette is absolutely delicious — packed with flavor and cooked perfectly every time. I love pairing it with wheat toast and their fluffy pancakes, which are soft, warm, and just perfect.

Great food, generous portions, and a classic diner atmosphere. Highly recommend! 🥞🍳

Went to nick’s diner for the first time and it was a top experience. The food was really good and it came out pretty quick. The chocolate chip pancakes are the best pancakes I’ve ever tried and would definitely recommend this place. The service was good as well, the servers are nice and polite. Will come again.

Good old Greek diner. We only go for breakfast which is cooked up fast and served hot. Not fancy, but family owned and operated and a great Wheaton institution! Be prepared for a line and a crowded tight space! Enjoy!

Nick's Diner, located at 11199 Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton, MD, is a landmark family-owned institution that has served the community for over 40 years. It is widely regarded as an "old-school" diner, characterized by its narrow layout, chrome swivel stools, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
The diner was opened in September 1982 by Nick and Sophia Markopoulos. Nick, who immigrated from Greece, had a long history in the restaurant industry before establishing this Wheaton staple.
The restaurant has remained a family affair for its entire existence. While Nick has officially retired (recently celebrating his 75th birthday at the diner), the day-to-day operations were passed down to his children, George Markopoulos and Heather Markopoulos.
The menu is centered on traditional diner staples with a few unique family recipes. Guests frequently praise the large portions and the "old-school" preparations, such as blueberry, banana, or chocolate chip pancakes, corned beef hash with eggs, and the "Meat Lovers" omelet.
The menu also includes a variety of cold and hot sandwiches, house-baked ham, and their famous home fries.
I have been to Nick's Diner many times in the past, but had not written about this "old school" diner.
But what really sets this finer apart is the super friendly service and welcoming attitude of every server. Most dishes are prepared in their flat iron skillet, but the cooks manage to put out expertly prepared and delicious breakfast and lunch dishes.
It is always a pleasure to order my favorite, the turkey club on toasted whole wheat with Swiss cheese and bacon, always served with a generous side of potato chips mounted on top of the sandwich.
If you are looking for an authentic, old-school diner experience, I fully recommend Nick's Diner!

I love the blueberry pancakes. Tasted home fries today and they were real good. The kids of Nick, a brother the cook and his sister waiteess, run the place now. Soon cool they kept it going. Great dinner.

Went for breakfast food looked great ambience was good. I sat at the counter waited...woaited...waited... no response figured they were busy. I waited patiently when a server did acknowledge me and said she would be back which is fine. Another patron come in sat right next to me. A terrier popped up immediately said hello and gave him a menu...still nothing to me... WOW normally I wouldn't take it personal though 😳 I left the other server came to me and tried said she didn't mean it... anyways I left why would I go somewhere im over looked. Is it because im a black man and the other man was white...hate to say it but make it make sense!!! The food really looked good to... signed hungry man!!!

First time visiting diner, very pleased, George is extremely clean and nice, a real gentleman. The place is cute and quaint real diner atmosphere. The staff care about your personal order, cooked to order! i took home leftovers and my son another breakfast critic was impressed :-)

Exactly whata diner shoul be.highly recommend. The service is exactly what you want—fast, friendly, and no-nonsense. Within minutes of sitting down, my coffee cup was full and my order taken with a smile.The food: absolutely stellar in that comfort-food kind of way. The pancakes are fluffy and golden with just the right amount of crisp at the edges, the omelets are generously stuffed.

We were greeted 3 times, warmly, by one patron and 2 staff before we were even seated. That was lovely! The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a Diner. Efficient, Speedy, Friendly, and Delicious. Oh, and the prices are good too. I highly recommend it! The home-fries are so good!

Had a FANTASTIC breakfast with my 3 year old daughter. We had a Big Breakfast with pancakes. I had the banana pancakes and let me tell you it was amazing!!! It was soooo good. Definitely found my breakfast spot for whenever in Wheaton MD. Waitress was such a delight and she was super nice and attentive. Food was DELICIOUS!! Definitely recommend this place!

What a treat it is to still have diners like this ! There has been one sitting in this location for decades, it was great when I used to go with my dad and I recently had the pleasure of seeing it still there and stopping by for breakfast after many years. I'm so glad I did! Ownership and name has changed but STILL Great breakfast !! Very attentive waitress, fun atmosphere/crowd. Been a couple times lately, loved it! Omelettes and hash browns are cooked the way they should be. I'll be back.

This is a small, cozy diner. They have great service, and there always seems to be a friendly local crowd. Their egg, spinach and feta omelette is the best I've ever had. I feel happy when I leave; it's a mood booster for me.

A small locally loved place. This restaurant is busy and efficient. Small seating areas inside. Lots of people popping and out to grab their take out orders. The staff are always excellent. The food is perfect. We stop in for breakfast when we can. The homefries have great flavor and the meat options are all excellent. Everything always comes out just right.

The dinner was packed. This would normally be an indication that the food is good. There was a wait which is expected but the food was not great, and it was overpriced. Maybe it was a bad day for the cook. I will not be going back. Please don't let this deter you from checking the dinner out.
