Their air conditioning is broken and on top of that the sushi was sitting in the open fridge area in the heat. Sushi was not cold and kind of warm. They should not be charging sushi at such an expensive price when they can't even keep it at a safe temperature on a hot summer day.

The register staff is friendly and the shop is clean, but this is the most overpriced, bland sushi I've ever had. Note that there's an additional charge at the register to buy freshly prepared food, so you're paying $17.50 for hard rice and flavorless fish. I'd only come here again to pick up emergency groceries if needed.

My favorite Japanese market in NYC, lots of the hot food and sashimi selection, one noticeable thing is that they offer slightly less food choices than hashi market on 33rd st. But offer some cleaning product (non-food)? Never been to the basement but did see the sign.

Btw their ice cream is good

Bought a cream bun and ramen(from fridge section) both rotten. I don’t think they have functioning fridges, beware!

The matcha here tastes pretty good and tastes like actual matcha, could not stop drinking and want more already. Two drinks was not enough, will definitely come back to try it again.

Such a lovely store, very clean, some of the hot food is a bit expensive but the onigiri and sushi prices make up for it. I enjoyed everything I ate and the shop kitty absolutely made my entire day! She’s so sweet and cute and loves to hang out in the window

hi, I just recently visited this place with my friends. One of my very good friends reached for the strawberry sandwich. That friend ended up getting very bad food poisoning from said sandwich. don’t come here. but if you do, please do smell checks on the food. 1/10 stars for bad experience but it’s emotionally 0 stars. and they don’t refrigerate their foods or store.

Hashi Market is a treasure trove of all things Japanese and an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves great food, unique finds, and an incredible shopping experience. This two-story supermarket goes above and beyond in offering an authentic slice of Japan right in your neighborhood.

The ready-made food section is a standout. I grabbed breakfast here, and it was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their sushi is some of the best you can find outside a specialty restaurant. Each piece is perfectly crafted, with fresh fish and quality ingredients that truly elevate the experience. Whether it’s nigiri, maki, or sashimi, you can taste the care and attention to detail in every bite.

But the magic doesn’t stop there. Hashi Market boasts an impressive selection of rare and common Japanese snacks, from savory chips with unique flavors to sweet treats like mochi and Pocky in varieties you won’t find elsewhere. It’s a snack lover’s paradise! On top of that, the fresh produce, meats, and seafood are top-notch. Everything is impeccably fresh, making it a great spot to shop for ingredients if you’re planning a Japanese meal at home.

The second floor is where things get even more fun. They have an amazing selection of makeup, skincare products, and the coolest blind boxes I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t resist grabbing a bunch, and I was thrilled with what I got—no disappointments at all! The thrill of opening them adds to the experience, and their range is fantastic, with something for every collector or hobbyist.

The layout of the store is well-organized, making it easy to navigate despite its vast offerings, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Whether you’re there for groceries, a quick meal, or a bit of retail therapy, the team ensures you have an enjoyable visit.

Hashi Market is more than a supermarket—it’s an experience. From the amazing food to the rare finds, every visit feels like a little adventure. Highly recommend stopping by, whether you’re a foodie, a collector, or just curious—you won’t be disappointed!

Awesome Japanese deli with a classic (and much appreciated) 50% off after 8PM daily sales for hot and cold prepared food. Clean store with great selection. Steep discounts for items that’s approaching expiration / best by date

Don't get me wrong the store itself is great. The problem is they are advertising themselves as handicap accessible which they are not. The ramp leads to a step and only one door opens so you have to be very careful when attempting to enter and exit so you don't fall down the step.

There is a newly open Japanese supermarket Hashi Market and we were appealed by its lively ambiance. Their product lineup from grocery, snack to daily supply is great with reasonable price.

We highly recommend their bento which was made freshly with various ingredients. The salmon was grilled properly with appetizing flavor. The Sweet Potato Cream Bun from Hattendo was really good with creamy filling and soft bun.
