Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine at the Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center and in interventional cardiology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Thakkar is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, and internal medicine, with additional certifications in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.
