The last time a went to the DMV was in 1999. This time: much more convenient location, did not need to pay for parking, greeted with a smiling face, and in/out in minutes not hours. A completely different experience!

I had a very smooth and positive experience at the Springfield MVC on Monday 8/31/26. The process was efficient, and overall, I was pleased with my visit.

The only negative was an interaction I had with one of the employees at the front desk next to the security as I was leaving. His comments and demeanor came across as flirtatious and made me somewhat uncomfortable. While nothing was said that was overtly inappropriate, I don't feel that this type of interaction is appropriate in a professional government office. I am removing one star for that.

Aside from that, I had a very positive experience and appreciated how smoothly everything went.

had a very frustrating experience at the Springfield, New Jersey DMV. I made three separate trips in one day because the documents I brought weren’t accepted, and when I finally got what I needed and returned, the office was already closed at3 p.m. Google and the sign on their door both say they closed at 4:30. Other people were pulling up at the same time and said this wasn’t the first time they’d been closed early. If the hours have changed, they really need to update them everywhere and follow them consistently. People take time off work, spend money on gas, and make multiple trips based on those posted hours. I hope this gets fixed.

Slowest moving MVC that I have experienced in quite a while.
They could do better. Had come for a new title and registration. Took 2 hours to get the work done.
Out of 13 counters only 4 counters were active while around 50 folks were waiting for their turn.

Longest wait time I’ve ever had. Had an appointment at 11:30 and left at 1400.
Spent 3 hours waiting. Also there are no baby changing stations in the bathrooms, very difficult if you have an infant.
