Pretty darn good food! We ordered a bunch of different stuff on the menu to give it a try and rate it. Their fried zucchini was amazing! Their breading is so good. The fried pickles... Ehhh never a pickle fan but my wife loved them. I got the NM soul burger and that was pretty good! I'd give the burger a 7.8 out of 10. Needed some more flavor for sure but it was a great burger. My wife got the Southern fried Chicken breast plate and it wasn't bad either! The breading again is amazing! And we had the Mac and cheese. Very good! Overall, this spot is 7.5. definitely a good place to go and visit! Our waiter was very friendly and had a good knowledge on the food they serve which is rare!

Great beer with a nice selection. Delicious NM Hot Chicken with a nice hit of heat and tons of flavor. Mac ‘n cheese with bacon was perfect with the chicken. The staff is super friendly and very attentive without being annoying. A shout out to JV for taking such good care of me.
Will definitely pit this on my go to list.

I had an amazing experience at Nexus Brewery. From the moment we walked in, the energy was welcoming and genuine.
Liz, the manager, was incredible—friendly, funny, and truly set the tone for a great visit. Our waitress, Brenda, was just as wonderful—attentive, warm, and made us feel completely taken care of without ever missing a beat.
The food was amazing. I had the pineapple apple salad with a vinegar-based dressing—it was fresh, delightful, and healthy. Compliments to the chef. You can tell care goes into what they serve.
This is the kind of place you can bring your family to, or stop by after a long, hard day of work when you just need good food, a drink, and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether it’s a quick bite or a full sit-down meal with a beer or a glass of wine, they deliver.
Thank you for everything. My family had an amazing day after a long, hard day—it was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

Our first visit was a tasty one with so many menu options that we ended up ordering more than planned. Everything we tried was delicious and well prepared. For takeout, placing an online order ahead of time is a smart move since there can be a short wait, though the waiting area is comfortable. The staff provided friendly and helpful service throughout. Do not miss the bread pudding, especially the deep fried version, which was outstanding.

As an avid traveler and picky eater, I always love when I can support local Black-owned businesses. Wasn't expecting amazing soul food in ABQ, but that is what I got in a laid back cool atmosphere. The chicken and cornbread waffles were amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing. Highly recommend!

Feels like ages since I last visited Nexus! The food is still pretty tasty, and their jambalaya remains my go to comfort dish. When I added shrimp, the portion felt a bit light for the $22 price—those shrimp must have been playing hide and seek with the jambalaya! On the bright side, the lady at the pickup counter was absolutely wonderful friendly, quick, and made the whole experience a smooth sail. Definitely worth another visit!

Small brewery selling some delicious soul food and good beer!! The fried chicken breast and collard greens are a must-try! The fish came out hot...crunchy with a flaky inside. Awesome service with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Honestly, wasn’t sure what to expect. This place is underrated. Mike was our server, he did a great job, awesome personality and out going. Played roulette here and ended up with a great fried chicken and collard greens. Also indulged in a great Biscuit Bread pudding with ice cream and Carmel! Amazing!!

For those of you that are fans of fish tacos, don’t sleep on the grilled fish tacos. For a landlocked state, these are surprisingly delicious - honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had!

Now, I’ll admit, the presentation might not win any awards. The picture I snapped made the tacos look a bit unorganized and like they wouldn’t live up to the hype, but don’t let that fool you. The flavor absolutely makes up for it. I like to think the kitchen was just having an off moment when they plated mine, because the taste was spot on.

On top of the great food, the staff is fantastic. Super friendly, welcoming, and willing to go out of their way to make sure your experience is top-notch. I wish I could remember the name of the wonderful young lady that served me - she's amazing! If you’re craving fish tacos, give these a shot. You won’t be disappointed!

Great atmosphere and service. Carol, our wait person, was very attentive with excellent recommendations. Location is easy to find right off of I25 across from REI.
Authentic dishes like collard greens, fried okra, catfish and chips. The collard greens took me back to my childhood reminiscing about my great grandmother's southern cooking. The fish AND chips were "best ever." The Imperial Cream Stout was deserving of its gold medal.

You know that part in Rapper’s Delight when he says “I went over to a friend’s house to eat and the food just ain’t no good. I mean the macaroni’s soggy, the peas are mushed and the chicken tastes like wood.” 🪵 it’s pretty much like that.
This was one of my favorite restaurants when it opened. I haven’t been in a while because I had a similar experience about 2 years ago. Ordered on a whim and it was the same. The chicken was so over-fried it bent the provided plastic fork. About the consistency of my dog’s chicken jerky. I wouldn’t bring people here for anything other than beer anymore. The waitress was nice but my order was also missing the mashed potatoes, so I had to go back.

So over Nexus!!! I use to rave about this place but in the last 6 months it’s gone down hill!! Tonight… they were out of brisket, burnt ends and a couple of other items on the menu. We just had fried zucchini & they didn’t even have batter on them. Won’t be going Back! Don’t even get me started on the raw chicken we got at the other location… and never even got a call back about that! I have I pictures to prove!

I absolutely love the food here. Being from Southeast Texas, I know good Soul food/Cajun food, and this place hits the market
Hands down best catfish in town. Great Gumbo and everything else. Plus, a good beer selection

Finally made it here! I came for the fried chicken, mashed potatoes with southern gravy, and collards. Spent more for the Nashville hot. It was good! With got the two piece dark, Nashville, with mac and cheese. She enjoyed mine better. Beer was underwhelming to me. We both had the Mexican lager. Staff was ok, but the atmosphere was excellent for lunchtime.

Originally aired on Triple D 9ver 10yrs ago. Aired again a few days ago and happened to be in the area. What a great stop! Had to try the fried chicken, collard greens and nachos & cheese. Completely a ove any expectations. It's not fancy but what they do is spot on. Totally unexpected and kinda hidden. I understand why Triple D selected this spot. Craft beer was on point m, had the cream ale and it is great. If you're in the area, it's a must try!

This is not just a must fo to in Albuquerque but a MUST REPEAT!!! The food and drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is top notch!!! Their fried okra and pickles are in my top 3 favorite and the chicken, collard greens and fish were beyond any expectation! However, the service was the highlight! Our server Kristella was incredibly attentive and accommodating...she definitely took some amazing food and a top 10 visited restaurant and elevated it beyond anything I've experienced. The food and service was so good I forgot to take pictures of the main meal. If you're anywhere near Albuquerque you MUST go to Nexus!!
