A great addition to the neighbourhood and a fantastic spot for brunch. We enjoyed the cozy, and the great atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of options for different tastes :)

We had lovely time on a Saturday afternoon with great weather in the patio. Staff were very friendly, attentive, and willing to explain, and recommend.
Food was very good and so were the drinks

If you’re looking for a restaurant that feels like a well-kept secret, Manita in Rosedale delivers exactly that.
We visited on a weekday with a reservation and were welcomed into a cozy, intimate space upstairs, small in size, but thoughtfully designed for comfort and conversation. Upstairs is definitely better for groups who want a more quiet relaxed vibe, while the lower level is a bit busier and offers more people watching.
It strikes that rare balance between relaxed and refined, where nothing feels rushed.
We started simply with fresh-squeezed orange juice, which set the tone, bright, fresh, and unexpectedly memorable. From there, we each ordered something different, and not a single dish missed.
The avocado toast was beautifully balanced, the chicken brochettes were tender, generous three skewers, tzatziki was thick and overall the dish was full of flavor, lastly the fries deserve special mention: perfectly crisp, properly salted, and impossible to stop eating.
Dessert was a highlight. The Basque cheesecake was rich, creamy, and generously sized, easily enough for three to share. In hindsight, a quick heads-up from the staff on portion size would have nudged us to explore more of the dessert menu alongside it. That said, paired with a sticky toffee pudding, it made for a very satisfying finish.
Overall, Manita is the kind of place you recommend without hesitation and return to without question.

A BIG thank you to Manita Rosedale for honouring our reservation (we made a mistake and went to the Rosedale location instead of Ossington). Forgot to get the name of the gentleman who took care of our mix up.
A big thank you to Christian for taking care of us for the early evening dinner.
The food - absolutely delicious!
The drinks - tasty!
Fries, Roasted Mushroom and Shrimp a la Plancha to start.
Chicken Brochettes, Rainbow Trout and Mediterranean Plate as the mains.
Chenin Blanc, Paper Airplane and Old Fashioned were the drinks.
Highly recommend and will come back & also visit the Ossington location!

The staff here are so kind and helpful, lovely vibe. Food is fantastic, had a great croque madame that came with a refreshing salad, orange juice was very fresh. But I will say the noise level when we came during brunch hours was almost unbearable, it was so loud. To the point that I could barely hear my friends just on the other side of our small table and I was actually concerned for the health and safety of the staff being expected to work all the hours of that shift without proper ear protection. I would strongly suggest investigating how soundscaping could help reduce noise levels, ie adding soft wall coverings to muffle echoes, etc. Otherwise a very charming brunch restaurant!

Came here for lunch with my friend today for the first time! It was busy but luckily got a table immediately. We ordered the Mediterranean, Falafel plate, latte and tea.
Food and Beverages: Tasty and presentation was lovely! Though a bit pricey for the amount you get. The tea cost the same as a latte...
Service: Friendly staff but we weren't immediately served water. It was a bit slow and we waited awhile before having to grab the attention of the server to place our order.
Atmosphere: Lovely interior and has a cozy vibe! We really appreciated the addition of curtains to block the breeze from the entrance as there are seating right next to the doors.

Nice place for brunch. Service was wonderful. The food was good and I have no complaints. It's a cozy spot and they also have an upstairs for additional seating.
Parking across the street with Green P. There isn't any side street parking. Not child friendly, don't think there are any booster seats so bring your own if you need.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the newly opened rosedale version of the ossington staple is every bit as good. I first went for brunch and had an outstanding steak sandwich served with an Au jous and fries. We shared a steak tartar to begin with a salad. Every dish was perfectly balanced, with the right amount of salt, sweetness and freshness. Clearly the team here is doing something right because the restaurant is constantly busy and I understand why. I will be back any time I can get a table! 5 stars.

Came here for bruch. Really cool ambience...blend of old world charm and modern chic.
Server got my order mixed up but the croque madame was super tasty. Coffee was exceptional. Shakshuka was just ok. Service was ok.
Next time maybe we will try the back patio because it looked very cozy.

Last time I came here for dinner and the food was amazing. This time I came back to try its breakfast menu. This mushroom croque madame is surprisingly great - rich in texture but without feeling overwhelming.
The ambience of the restaurant is great but it’s a bit hard to talk to others as it’s quite noisy. Service is great though

We had a great night at Manita Rosedale. The host gave us such a warm welcome, which really made the evening feel special ☺️. We started with the ham croquette and burrata, followed by the steak and frites. The food was excellent and it was super nice to get to know this new location.

Manita Rosedale delivered one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in the city. The sticky toffee pudding alone is worth the visit.
We enjoyed the fresh and flavourful chicken salad for the starters. Our main was the braised beef meatballs with burrata, parmesan, golden raisins and pine nuts, this dish was rich, comforting and perfectly balanced - especially paired with the griddled focaccia.
Manita is a perfect spot for a cozy dinner or special night out. Can’t wait to return and try their breakfast menu!

I took my friend for her birthday yesterday and we absolutely loved it! The food was excellent (we had the winter salad and the tuna sandwich on sourdough with fries). It was my friend’s birthday and they gave us free celebratory drinks! Such friendly and attentive staff. Shout out to Chubba!!!! Thanks for a lovely neighbourhood experience!!!

4.8. Great spot and addition to the neighbourhood, though the Rosedale diner will be missed!!
Food is good and there are lots of options, something for everyone. The space is cozy and has a nice vibe!
Service was great- very warm and accommodating.
They still don’t do take-out yet but hopefully soon!!
Only dissapointing thing was that we asked for bread with our salads and they brought one piece- hopefully it will come with the delicious salad in the future!

If you like to be ignored then THIS is the place for you. I had to ask if we had a server after we were ignored for over fifteen minutes. We got the food and were ignored for the next hour while our finished plates sat in front of us. I totally understand if it was busy but it really wasn’t. The servers were just more interested in chatting amongst themselves than checking on us, clearing our plates or getting us our bill. Fries were good. For a $30 veggie burger it would be nice to be acknowledged at some point. I won’t be back.

Incredible dining experience! The menu had a great variety, and excellent plates. The staff was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a new favorite spot in the area!

Had a great dinner with friends here. Great place to catch up over nice food, comfortable seating and the upstairs was cozy and quiet enough to talk without having to shout. The service was attentive and great. Food was really nice. We split a bunch of appetizers. Everything we had was delicious. Really loved the French onion soup and escargots. Will definitely come back for mains. Great spot to catch up with friends over good food and a nice atmosphere.

We had an incredible lunch .. everything was delicious and very attractively presented….
But our server was the best part of the meal and that’s saying something. He was genuine, helpful, smart and warm… he made us feel very comfortable , all of that without being obsequious.

Although the place just opened, they have a sister location in Ossington.
The food is great, the vibe is cute and the restaurant itself has a nice ambiance about it.
The portion sizes however, could be better especially for the breakfast. IE the French Toast.
Breakfast sandwich is also great, yet also smaller portion size for the price!
Overall great restaurant, great burger too!

Lovely addition to the neighborhood. Food, service, cocktails, and wine were fantastic. Started with oysters, the fresh grated horseradish was the perfect compliment. The beef tartare was made fresh to order and the crostini were pipping hot. Soo classic and soo yum! We shared the trout and mushroom salad for our mains and they were great. Everything was prepared with care. Servers were friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.
