We have worked with New Era Drug testing for approximately a year. Their on-boarding process was easy and organized. However, on multiple occasions we have sent people for drug testing and the site has been closed or didn’t have the employees available to do the testing or observation The information on the authorization release is not always accurate. While I don’t expect them to call all 30,000 sites and verify, I do expect for them to hold the sites accountable. They fail to realize when an employee, on two occasions, leaves a job site and travels to a testing facility, there is a loss of productivity, gas expenses and addition payroll expenses.

This is not a one time occurrence. It happens pretty routinely—-not all the time but enough to cause us to be unsatisfied. When brought to their attention, they only say they cannot control the sites and that unexpected situations happen and it’s not their fault that our employee didn’t call before they went even though the employee went during advertised hours of operation noted on the authorization form.

There seems to be a disregard for our time and cost. Some of the sites they contract with are just not reliable, and they’re not willing to hold them accountable causing office staff frustrations, reduce productivity, extra payroll, and gas expenses.

I recently ended my membership. A month later a new employer needed membership proof for my time as an O/O, so I requested the information from New Era: they refused. They refused to give ME any information about MYSELF stating they required a release from someone other than ME, such as my new employer.

Even though I called from the phone number on record,... even though I emailed from the address on record,... even though I provided ALL relevant information and authorized the release,... even though I made a separate request just for myself, they still refused. Thankfully, I found the information buried in my computer and I am not held hostage by these imbeciles. Save your original contract in a labeled folder so you do not have the same problem.

My company was with them for few years and they just keep getting worst and worst. I had multiple clinics telling me they won't do the employment drug testing for my employees because New Era wasn't paying their invoices. I lost 3 new drivers because of that. They made my company look bad. I would definitely go with another drug consortium company.
