Stopped by Popeyes and switched up my order this time. I got some spicy chicken, fries, red beans and rice, and a biscuit, and honestly everything was hitting. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and had a nice amount of spice without being too much. The biscuit was warm and buttery, and the red beans and rice were a nice change from the usual sides. The fries were hot and seasoned pretty well too. The employees were friendly and got my order out pretty quick, which I appreciated because I was starving lol. The restaurant was clean and had a pretty chill vibe. Portions were solid for the price, and I definitely left full. Nothing fancy, but when you’re craving crispy fried chicken with some good sides, Popeyes gets the job done. Definitely gonna pull up again when that chicken craving hits.

What a bizarre experience. Food was great but ordering was so weird. I pulled up to the drive through and waited about four minutes before someone finally got on. I said I had a placed an order in the app. They said “Ok first window.” I thought it was weird that hadn’t asked my name but I drove around. I waited another few minutes before someone opened the window and looked at me and said, “What?” I was startled. I said, “Huh?” She rolled her eyes and said, louder, “What?!” I said, “I’m not sure what you’re asking.” She sighed, closed the window, and walked away. A few moments later she returned and said, “Ma’am what do you want? You wanna place an order or what?” I said, “No, I had an order in the app.” She rolled her eyes again and said “Well then I need your name don’t I?” I was so confused. I gave my name and she told me to go park and they’d give me my food. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or what but it was such a strange interaction. None of that is a normal way to talk to another human being no matter what the circumstances.

So I ordered a four piece all white 50/50 and as I was watching the lady prepare the food, I knew she was getting it all wrong. What's the point of putting in my order but the employee not being able to understand what I ordered? I asked the guy who could speak English if she had put all original in my order or half spicy and half regular because she only spoke and understood Spanish. Ofcourse I couldn't tell what they were saying and they KNOW that but the attitude was definitely "just give her whatever!" They know you're not going to taste every piece of chicken to make sure. Every piece was regular even after asking if she had given me two of each. And a super hard (like a hockey puck) biscuit. This is why I don't go out to eat, because no one wants to do things right but I'm certain when they take their breaks they eat the piece of chicken they want, hot and fresh! I don't live in Dallas, I live 2 hours away and made an extra stop to get lunch at this Popeyes only to be disappointed. The chicken was good but not want I asked for. The atmosphere is very confusing because of the language barrier, unwelcoming because of the one employee that does speak English and his attitude and EMPTY for a Saturday afternoon (That should have told me everything). At least they got the other 3 piece right. Hey, if you're going to own a little piece of the franchise you gotta do better. This Popeyes has lost my business and respect.

At 4:20pm, I observed staff handling cooked chicken with bare hands. When asked to use gloves or utensils, staff stated they are not allowed to wear gloves. I was then asked to leave after raising the concern.

I was so exited for the spicy fish sandwich. I waited 10mubutes for it before closing. I asked twice for everything and confirmed it had sauce and pickles. Came home and it was not spicy and dry and. Total disappointment and waste of time, money, and calories. I was hungry and I spent what I had budgeted for this splurge. They refused to refund me with receipt and photo proof of their mistake.
