I've been using PMT for months, and I'm not particularly impressed.

The good: Their costs are very reasonable, their website works pretty well, the money comes on time, and the one emergency repair we faced got resolved immediately.

The bad: Anything non-urgent will take an absolute age. There's one small (but time-sensitive) repair that I've been bugging them about for two months, with no movement whatsoever. Last I heard was "we'll try to get you a quote", and that was three weeks ago.

How this company currently has 4.4 stars, I'l never know. I've dealt with them during two different tenancies and my experience was the exact same. It took them over a year to fix a bathroom leak that caused bowing of the floorboards, 5 months to replace a broken dishwasher, and so many more issues I can't list all here. It takes a minimum of 20 back and forth emails to get anything resolved and apparently it's normal for them to take 3 weeks to respond to just one email. Dealing with PMT is nothing but a headache from start to finish.

PLEASE READ IF THINKING OF HIRING (the key mishap is the last paragraph).

I hesitate to give a 2 star rating as I’m not that kind of person (let alone someone that writes bad reviews), but unfortunately it’s reflective of the service I have gotten from PMT. Luckily my landlord has switched to a different company so I no longer have to engage with them. (I would have given them a 1 star, but apparently it’s harder to dispute and remove as a 2 star.)

The person assigned to my apartment was extremely unresponsive. Despite nice replies (likely AI), I was given heads up about technicians less than 24 hours before and in some cases less than an hour. I would call, send multiple emails, and not receive a response until they found the time to do so. I was a responsive tenant and caused little to no issues. My bar is quite low and I didn’t know what to expect with the first apartment I moved into so I provided leeway. For seemingly small fixes it would take multiple visits and a long, drawn out process. Again, I was lenient and wouldn’t have come here if that’s where it ended.

My last straw was when they put my bank account into overdraft AFTER the landlord ended their contract. I had auto payments on so I politely asked for them to be turned off so the new management company could get the rent from me and not them. They confirmed it was turned off yet the next month I paid rent to both them and the new company because of what they claim to be a “technical issue”. This was 2 days after it was taken from my account that I alerted them. So not only did they take money that they shouldn’t have (illegal), but failed to realize they even did it. I completely understand that if you like a place you like a place, but if you are considering options and can avoid a relationship with this company I would avoid at all costs. Hope this gets where it needs to.
