I was here in 2010-2012 everyday at Lunch during my days at port credit. When there was a block buster a small convenience store and a small pizza store all in the corner that now belongs to cousins. This place has seriously went downhill

Their catering is outstanding! The food was delicious. Excellent customer service too. The food was delivered on time at our event. I highly recommend them!

Excellent service and product. This family runned business has been around for decades and does a great job in taking care of their clients. Joanne and the catering department did a fantastic job for my family and I for Thanksgiving thank you again.

I just got off the phone with Joanne in catering at Cousins. I was inquiring about a last minute Thanksgiving dinner for two, (not 12), and she was so cheerful and accommodating that I ordered, hung up, and didn’t even ask the price. I also signed up for nightly dinners, again not asking how much. She made me feel like it was fun to be part of the gang. Now that’s Customer Service.

Two peach pies ($16.99 plus tax for each pie) were purchased on Saturday September 20 that had a best before sale date of September 24, 2025. We went to have some of this pie the next day and low and behold, the pie was moldy between the filling and the top crust. Very moldy.
I sent an email to the Mississauga store with a picture of this moldy pie on Sunday evening expecting a return email. Nothing heard from them so we took the pie back to the store Monday afternoon. Our friend had purchased these pies and theirs's was also moldy after I had told them about the one they gave us.
Good Customer service procedure:
We are very sorry about this. We will gladly refund the amount. Would you like another pie instead? We will look into this and see what happened and try to correct the problem so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Again, sorry about this and hopefully you will remain a loyal and good customer.
Bad Customer service procedure:
Gus, one of the owners said: "a little penicillin won't hurt you". "Yes we knew about this problem". Humidity is an issue but the store continued to sell these moldy pies. Other department mangers in the store did not know about this problem or issue. No sorry, no nothing from him. It was as though we were a bother to him.
Our friend is now a lost 23 year loyal customer gone along with many, many more friends and anyone else we can tell about this especially because of Gus's response. Our friend did however get a full refund from a department manager, who was probably the store's best attribute.
Shame on you Cousin's Market. I guess your motto of freshness, quality, and honest, hard working service is all "lip service".
If I could give a review of less than zero stars, I would. I recommend shopping there with caution especially when purchasing baked or possibly other prepared foods.

I can’t even believe I have to write this, I just don’t want you to have the same experience and don’t want anyone to waste their money. I have never seen more rotting fruit and vegetables at a grocery store that really is considered somewhat high end. It was disgusting. If I wasn’t desperate I would have walked out. I had to go through 10 bags of apples to find a bag that looked decent. And still I’m pretty sure when I bite into one of them I’m going to be very angry. They were wrinkled, old, damaged and literally rotting MUSH in the bags.
I wish I had taken a photo but be my guest and pay them a visit. The peppers were rotting too. And it’s not like everything was discounted. Not sure if they are shortstaffed, but the store wasn’t that busy and it seemed like there were enough people that someone could’ve been designated to look through the produce to make sure it wasn’t beyond edible. I will never never never darken their doorway again.
Oh, just got home. Here are my nice carrots for $4.49. Do better, Cousins.

Kudos!!! We ordered our office summer party food from Cousins today. Delivered on time, reasonable prices. The food was fresh and fantastic. Especially loved the rigatoni but both veggie and meat lasagna were delicious as well. I would highly recommend this catering market.

I go here pretty often now due to proximity. 5 stars is based on expectation - it's a specialty grocer, so a lot of items will be more pricey than down the road at competitors (think pantry items or big label brands). However, the produce, meat/seafood and the hot bar are all great. In fact, the hot bar serves up a 3pc meal that is only $10 and is certainly filling - a great deal for lunch considering the competition. I also like their baked goods but only on a sale.

Check expiry dates! I frequently find food on the shelves that is past their best before date. I was halfway through a package of cheese curds when I noticed mold and saw that the expiry was something like 2 weeks before the date I bought it! I have wasted lots of money on spoiled food or food very close to their expiry date at Cousins and paid full price for it!
They need to take a cue from Farm Boy (now in Port Credit): mark down your items as they approach expiry and have your employees check the shelves!
As others have said: they are overpriced. On the other hand they have a decent organic selection and good products at their butcher counter. Their premade foods are just ok.
My advice, shop here with caution.

I know you don't have to shop here, but the prices are ridiculous. I'm not talking about expensive cookies or prepared meals. Take milk, for example. Two litre carton at other stores such as Longos and Metro is $5.50, which gives them a good profit. Cousins is $7.99. almost 50% more. Feel badly for less well off people or seniors who have to shop here for location.

Good place for local, organic, and gluten-free products. I had a pretty unusual experience with the lady behind the front counter this morning. I tried to pay with cash and I was told “it’s too early for me to take that.” She refused to take a $50 bill - it was totally fine as I paid using a credit card, but I’ve never dealt with anything like this before.

The quality of food and specialty sweets are wonderful. Don't search for anything cheap here.

Very well organized and clean store. The shelves are properly labeled and so are the products on display. The fruits and vegetables are fresh and clean. One finds the aisles to be clear and free of clutter.
The prices for products are generally higher than those in other supermarkets. It is able to charge premium prices due to its choice of good quality products.
It offers adequate parking space for its customers.
