I am so glad that my investments are with another company and not Fidelity. They are a nightmare to work with!

I am the administrator of an estate of someone (deceased) that had his 403b with Fidelity through his employer.

I'm not even interested in the payout because that will go to his family. However, even after filling out there necessary forms back in October, 2025 (and getting them notorized) and sending them an original death certificate, they lost everything and would not give us information about not getting a 1099 because he had withdrawn funds last year. Before we can close the estate, we also have to file his taxes for last year (and I can't do that without having the 1009-R from Fidelity). Looks like I'm hiring a probate attorney for this.

Stay away from Fidelity!!

We scheduled an appointment (in person on 1/16 at the Fort Myers Office) for the following Friday 1/23 at 9:30am to receive counsel regarding our investments. When we arrived, they could not find our appointment and someone else was scheduled for that time. After many apologies, we were reassured we would get a phone call sometime that day from Kat to reschedule. We still have not received any call back. We will be looking elsewhere for a financial advisor.

The experience of opening trusts has been an absolute nightmare. Docusign was down and we were told that the grantor had to sign documents. So we overnighted documents at our expense and was then told that the grantor doesn’t have to sign. Weeks later we still don’t have the correct online access and every call we make is transferred to another team. I rue the day I chose Fidelity.

I am so happy that Fidelity placed in office in Fort Myers, no more going to Naples. The employees at this center are amazing. I went to solve a problem I was having and Fibie (I hope and I got your name right) was my Guardian Angel. She took control of my situation and got Mark on the phone helping me solve my issues.
