I love this place. It's been a staple for the locals since I was a kid. I've come in here numerous amounts of times, by myself, with small groups and large groups and it's always been an excellent experience. To top all of that off delivery through doordash or Uber eats is top tier. The prices are either exactly the same if not incredibly near, and you still get the same humongous portions while being hot and fresh. To top that all off they give you a whole bag of chips and salsa as well. It had been a while since I had gone here and I'm really glad that I chose to order it tonight. Thank you guys

The fajitas was like. They cooked it in a big pot and dipped it out onto a hot plate, not traditional that I'm aware of and lack any real burst of flavor mostly onions and bell peppers needed lots of excitement which it didn't have the guacamole. And beans were absolutely flat.
I can't imagine where they are. Getting their following unless it is the portion, it was very large more than I wanted. Give me a little bit of something very good.Not a whole lot of something that's mediocre

Waiter was rushed. Not very good customer service.
The girl that brought are food was great. She was very tall and the bartender. Had trouble with a gift card. Manager was short and curt. Made comments to two other customers in Spanish when he attempted to run card. I assured him the bill would be taken care of and it was. I don't believe we will return. We did not feel very welcome in his restaurant.

Do NOT come here if you have dietary restrictions. After calling and speaking to the manager on the phone we were assured that enchiladas can be made gluten free. When we ordered we double checked and made sure everything we ordered was gluten free. My husband was served flour tortillas despite all of our precautions. I appreciate them taking the enchilada off our bill, and offering to remake it. Our waitress was great. But celiac disease is serious. These kinds of mistakes can kill people. My husband had to go make himself vomit in the bathroom.

Please please please educate your kitchen staff better.

My partner and I came here because we found a coupon in the Buy Local Magazine we got in the mail. Everything was mostly barely average. The food came out almost too fast. I ordered enchiladas and a taco. My partner ordered an enchilada (his favorite food). I was surprised when my food came out and the taco was a crunchy shell, like what you would get at Taco Bell. It was also a stale crunchy shell. The enchiladas were also very mid and kind of bland. My partner didn't even finish his. Although they were nice, the servers didn't seem very attentive, at least at first. I kept trying to make eye contact with one of them so I can ask for more salsa.

I left feeling so impressed! The food was delicious, all the staff worked together to ensure our chips and salsa were full, dishes were cleared and our drinks were topped off at all times. I ordered a virgin margarita and it was awesome! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again!

The bartender is horrible. I ordered two raspberry margarita and got blackberry, ordered a second raspberry and again got blackberry. Then when I gave my credit card he changed me 43.00 for two margaritas. When I told him, he said, no, he could not fix it a then gave my receipt to my friend and vise versa and said "it's ok". I said, no it's not. My friend paid her bill which was 43.00 but she was charged 21.00 and I was charged 43.00. Gabriel even asked me if my cc was the one with the dog on it and I said, yes. And he still mixed them up and refused to fix it.

I really enjoy this restaurant. I used to come here with work friends. This weekend I went with my family. It was a very nice time. The food is great, the portions are large. The drinks are made well, and the staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.

Solid aesthetic, vibe and exceptional service, like beyond attentive staff, so 5 stars for that.

As a native Arizonan, a half hour away from the Mexico border, it’s going to take a lot to impress me with Mexican food. El Tapatio was no exception, and no impression.

Subpar, canned south of the border food. But. The beans and rice were top notch. Kids meals are exceptionally valued, and large. They give you free chips and salsa which is quite rare in the PNW, even though it’s standard in the Southwest. Only caveat, they’re not the thin, crispy, salty variety you’re craving, they’re the thicker, dense, fried in old oil kind. Total bummer.

I much prefer the carnitas at Rigoberto’s or even Chipotle, I know, shoot me now. But seriously, when all you taste is the actual animal meat, sans seasoning. No thank you. The beef tacos were drenched in liquid taco seasoning, and the green sauce was straight up sour canned flavor. But. Those rice and beans. Definitely not the usual PDX Mexican flair, definitely more of an attempt at authenticity. And again, stellar service.

I love El Tapatio!!! Their food is so delicious & their drinks were really good too!! They bring you hot chips and salsa to start with. They have a bar side and a restaurant side. They have slot machines in the bar side. Our servers were really nice and attentive. We drank some yummy Cadillac Rocks Margaritas 🍹I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others. I ordered the super burrito & my sister ordered an enchilada and two tacos off of the "a la carte" menu😁 it was delicious!!! We also ordered churros for dessert🥳🥳
