We moved out of our 1 bedroom apartment in Columbia and chose a "labor only" contract. I chose this company because they had good ratings and my call for the quote went well. The two movers helped get our stuff out and were able to get everything into 2 Uboxes so we could save money on the third. They were helpful and knew what they were doing.

They were prompt, professional, courteous, and incredibly efficient from start to finish. I needed two large sofas hoisted over my first-floor balcony, and they handled the job flawlessly. Everything went exactly as promised, and they made what seemed like a difficult task look easy.

During the move, I ran into an unexpected storage issue and needed an additional container. Swiftway Services did an excellent job. Their three-person team of Mayra, Echalon, and Francis were very nice and communicative. They helped move all large items out of our house and into a pod and were strategic in doing so, not wasting any time. They wrapped everything securely and made sure not to bump/damage the house or items when doing so. Will use their services again in the future and would recommend!

Our family used Swiftway Services for a local move in Laurel, MD. This is the first time we used them. When you use a company for the first time you ask yourself, "Would I use them again?" The answer regarding Swiftway is, "Absolutely Yes!"

We were able to have a representative (Leighton) come out in person to look over the job and see everything that needed to be done first hand. This is a great service, it gives you more peace of mind. No other company I spoke with would do this. They would only give a quote over the phone.

The quote for the job was very reasonable. The crew showed up right on time, walked through the house with us to understand everything needing done and got right to work. They protected all of the furniture with blankets and/or wrap. They were very quick getting the truck loaded up and off to the destination. Once there, we again walked through the new apartment to get an idea of how to bring in the furniture and where to place it. Once again, they were very efficient bringing in the furniture and getting it placed where we wanted it.

The crew was extremely professional, efficient and courteous. They were open to listening to any of our concerns and did an excellent job protecting the furniture as well as the premises.

Swiftway was excellent! Our move to and from our destination took under 5 hours (30 minute drive between locations). Our movers were professional and respectful of our belongings. They also took stuff up 3 floors with no elevator. We were very happy with their service and would use them again.

The movers are very kind and accommodating. Be advised the quote is for minimum of 3 hours. It’s very misleading. They don’t quote based on the size or the inventory you provide. When the move is complete they then add the additional hours. They also only bill in whole hours. So if you’re only half an hour more you pay for the whole hours. They also charges for plastic wrap. I’m still waiting on the final price as it was a mystery until they were done.

Communication— Everyone communicated well, and were in sync on entire process…was awesome to watch and even better to help where I could.

Punctuality — Above and beyond! The team was early to arrive, and efficient with anything in their control. We hit traffic, given the weekend, so this added their time, but they were committed to a successful job completion.

Quality — Overall, great job! Not one item damaged. Few minor scratches on the entry way, but can be expected with any move.

Overall — This team is great, and Leighton a great team leader! He and the others made my moving experience one of the best yet! Will definitely use their service again and I highly recommend you hire them as well!!

Apologies to the Swiftway team, as this review is a little overdue due to my travels.

I moved with Swiftway Services this month. A three‑person team worked quickly and packed everything carefully. They handled large items like beds and shelves with care to avoid wall damage, and my glass items, including mirrors, arrived intact. I highly recommend Swiftway and will use them again.

Of course your movers weren’t mentioned because they did a great job. You clearly looked past my review and clearly LIED. Yes, there were no lights, yes, there was an odor, and that was because the building was CONDEMNED AND THERE WAS NO POEWER WHICH I TOLD YOU WELL IN ADVANCE AND WE EVEN TRIED TO COME UP WITH PLANS TO WORK AROUND IT together. The lie though is what MOLD??? Seriously, what mold are we talking about? The smell came from the food that had spoiled in the fridge, there were no lights because the power was cut, but what MOLD?? Anyone reading this please note that the owner is a clear liar, they were not there, and they also held my reservation up after I had already PAID the deposit because I mentioned my insurance was helping me. Again, DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I used Swiftway Services to help me move out of my apartment in Columbia, MD. Each step was easy and I was very pleased. From the customer service that got my moved booked to the movers themselves that got me relocated, it was a 10 out of 10 experience .
