​I am a regular customer at this restaurant, but what happened today shows a complete lack of proper management and basic hospitality. I ordered a sandwich and explicitly asked for the sauces on the side. Instead, they drenched the sandwich with 5 different sauces, doubling up on some of them! It felt like I was eating pure sauce, not a sandwich.
​When I pointed out the mistake, the staff gave me cheap excuses like "the system doesn’t show that," and to make matters worse, they charged me extra when I asked for side sauces to fix their own mistake!
​My wife even called them to explain that I was exhausted after a long day of work and couldn't afford to wait around. They told her to have me bring the sandwich back for a replacement, but they strictly refused to start preparing the new one until I physically arrived. This meant waiting another 30 minutes in peak rush hour.
​This is absolutely NOT how you manage a business or treat loyal customers. You just lost a regular. Unacceptable behavior and zero flexibility.

Surely Shelby’s has made their own way with live bread making and presentation, loved their shakes and presentation.
When it comes to Shawarma it has to be great tasting meat not filled with fries specially when the paid amount is fair enough.

Ordered the Canadian bowl. It is advertised as half rice half lettuce and are charged extra for it. Placed food into a larger bowl as bowl given doesn’t allow one to properly mix toppings and bowl is mostly rice with only a few sprigs of lettuce. Shelby’s should simply advertise the lettuce as an extra topping.

I had an amazing experience at Shelby’s! The food was absolutely delicious, and the new menu changes make it even better. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared.

A special thanks to Bindesh, who helped us so much during our visit. He was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience. His service really stood out and made our time here even more enjoyable.

Shellbys has always been one of my favourites, and I used to have it regularly. I tried it again after a year, and the quality felt very different this time. Every sauce on the shawarma and the shawarma rice bowl tasted mostly sour, and the overall flavour just wasn’t there. It was okay, but it didn’t have the premium taste I remember.
The service was also a bit slow. They might have been busy with orders, but the time management didn’t feel sharp today.
Overall, it was an average experience this time, which was surprising considering how much I used to enjoy their food.

CHICAGO to try this famous shawarma. Shelby’s doesn’t do your average shawarma — they’ve practically re-engineered it.

The Legendary Wrap is enormous, grilled on saj bread that’s crisp on the outside and soft within, creating the perfect bite. The chicken and beef are well-seasoned, juicy, and complemented by their signature garlic and spicy garlic sauces, which pack real punch without being overpowering.

Conveniently located on the corner of Huron Church Road and Totten Street, Shelby’s Legendary Shawarma offers a variety of middle eastern dishes at reasonable prices. While their take-out and drive-through service is very quick, the quality of the food is a step above other fast food chains. The service inside is very quick, but for those who are in even more of a rush there is a drive through lane way with touchless payment and friendly workers at the pick up window. I highly recommend the Legendary Shawarma Wrap with a mix of chicken and lamb/beef with spicy garlic sauce. It’s delicious!

We saw so many instagram posts and decided to try this place out.
We were 5 people who ordered different things from the menu.
To start with the shawarma bite box, the bread was way too soggy so it was falling apart and the shawarma (for all food ordered) was black/burnt and tasted nothing like chicken!

The mac bowl had a weird aftertaste and again, the shawarma chicken was too hard and black in color.

The chicken shawarma burrito had the same issue with the shawarma taste.

The tikka masala was very mid.

The only good thing was the fries.

Very very disappointed.

Yummy wraps but not much space to sit and basically no human interaction as you are encouraged to order on a machine or by Uber eats. Service is pretty slow because it’s very busy here.

Got this after just crossing the border. Packaging was really good for eating while driving, kept everything in place in case there were droppings. The roti wrapping was toasted in front of us and the meat/toppings were fresh. Got some flavor fatigue towards the end but overall good food.

I got the Halal Beef Bacon Caesar Shawarma Wrab — and let me just say, it lives up to the hype. Easily one of the best shawarmas I’ve ever had. It’s packed with flavor, the meat is juicy and well-seasoned, and there’s a good amount of sauce already inside. I was thinking of getting a dipping sauce, but honestly, I didn’t need it at all.

The saj bread is toasted on an open flame first (you can taste that slight char — in a good way), and then it goes into a Panini press. The result? Crispy outside, soft inside, and just really well put together.

The only downside: there’s not much seating, and you order through machines. I usually like talking to someone and asking what’s good, so that part was missing. But food-wise, it’s 🔥.

I’m full — but I still wanna eat more. That’s how good it was.

Saw lot of YouTube shorts about this restaurant chain. So we went to our nearest Windsor Canada location. Wanted to dine in with family. But they actually don’t have space for people in large group. There were chairs outside but it was too cold to sit outside. Food was amazing. Waiting time was pretty good, less than I expected. Cause we were a whole lot people and ordered bunch of items. Wish there were more sitting arrangements inside. Definitely recommend but only for take out. If you’re planning for a family dinner or lunch together find a place to sit or go when the weather is warmer.

Honestly disappointed with the quality of food. Ordered 2 regular chicken bowl with one spicy garlic and one regular but got both of them regular. The chicken in the bowl is dried out and overcooked can literally see the burnt skin over the chicken from both the bowls.

I recently ordered a beef shawarma bowl from Shelby's, choosing Shelby's salad and fries as the base. According to the website, the Shelby's salad is supposed to include feta cheese and pita chips, but my bowl had neither.

Additionally, the beef was disappointing, as it contained a significant amount of unchewable bits, including tough gristle and cartilage, making it difficult and unpleasant to eat. It seemed like the meat wasn’t properly trimmed or prepared.

I hope more attention is given to ingredient consistency and meat quality in the future, as these issues took away from what could have been an enjoyable meal.

📍Google Guide Review [4 Mill Views] 🫠 Go to Dearborn, Michigan, US for 100% authentic Shawarma. Great IG marketing but the worst Shawarma ever. In Southeast Michigan we have the highest population of Middle Eastern community members in the states via Dearborn. We are genuinely spoiled with flavorful and amazing shawarma.

Shelby’s was not good at all. It was over hyped on IG as the best but I was so so disappointed. There wasn’t much flavor dynamic. The pickles and chicken tasted bland and I had to play hide and seek to find the chicken and other ingredients. The Shawarma was more a ton of garlic spread wrapped in a tortilla vs pita than anything (check out other reviewer’s photos). The onions were bitter and overbearing also and I love onions. I won’t be ordering again. This goes to show you great social marketing will persuade anyone to shell out money to at least try what is being advertised.
