I can’t say enough positive things about Jovanna and her team. After a motor vehicle accident ended my professional playing career, I struggled with daily movement and ongoing pain. I have been working with Jovanna for the past two years, and her treatment has helped me make meaningful improvements in mobility and quality of life — things like bending, getting in and out of a car, and performing everyday tasks that were once extremely difficult.

We still have a long road ahead, and I continue to rely on her expertise on a weekly basis to manage symptoms and keep making gradual progress. Jovanna is the only practitioner who has consistently helped me move forward, and I truly trust her care.

I’ve seen Cindy for sprained ankles, and she’s been amazing! She takes the time to explain what’s going on and gives me clear, practical exercises that actually help with recovery. Dr. Vera Kohut became my GP 28 years ago. I've stayed with Vera as a very skilled family doc, with great skills and strong contacts for referrals to specialists when needed. It's been a bonus that Vera joined the Serefin clinic as the added back up with nurse practitioners, physiotherapy and other team members has been most helpful in treatment of my ongoing chronic issues.

Vera has been my GP for the last 5 years. And I was & still am so thrilled with her terrific care. Dr. Kohut is highly regarded by our family. For over twenty years, we have had Dr. Kohut, and we are grateful for her care, professionalism, and experience.

Recently, a family member fell ill and was seen at one of our busiest emergency departments. The ER team was grateful to Dr. Kohut for the documents provided, which covered our family member’s testing and care journey over several months. The ER doctor expressed how fortunate we are to have such an incredible family doctor, and we agree.

While our family member was hospitalized, he encountered the head of Internal Medicine and his team, who also expressed their appreciation for Dr. Kohut’s documentation, discussion, and input that helped them make a diagnosis for a very rare cancer. That team informed us that if other patients had Dr. Kohut, it would greatly help them and other doctors in caring for and assisting people to recover faster.

I wanted to write this review to help others on some insight whether they want to join this health care program or not. I was a member at what was originally called healthcare 365 i wonder why the name was changed. At the beginning my health was pretty good. The staff seemed very especially Barbara who was a gem of a person. Dr Kohut was very kind as well. At some point i was urged to have a hepatitis vaccine and a flu shot at the same time. At first i was unsure and declined because i already had my hep shot from when i was younger and did not need a flu shot either because i was in good health. Nonetheless the nurse kept urging me to get it. I seemed fine for a bit but a little later on i got really sick. I did blood work and Dr. Kohut kept telling me i’m fine. My skin grew some odd rashes that i never had and Dr. Kohut would take to google to diagnose me. At this point my Mother was a member too and she started having back problem and equilibrium problems. Dr Kohut told her to exercise instead of looking into it further. My mother ended up going to a specialist on her own only to find out she had a tumour growing on her soine and if she didn’t remove it in time she could become paralyzed. She had to get surgery to remove the tumor from her back and thank God everything went well. Back to me at this point i was very sick and experiencing all sorts of symptoms from weight loss to brain fog and body pain. Dr Kohut told me maybe i’m depressed and that is the reason i’m feeling like this and i remember very clearly her telling me everything is fine and for me to just breathe. Great advice, anyhow i joined medcan and finally a doctor with some sense referred me to a specialist by the name of Tim Cook who made me do a series of test only to find out i had Lyme disease. After years of living with lyme and not knowing it turned into chronic lyme. 5 years of my life i was in debilitating pain with many other symptoms. All the signs were there from the rashes and so forth. But Dr Kohut told me to just breathe. Any how this was my experience with this health care I received at this institute wasted thousands of dollars on physiotherapy referred to by Dr Kohut for my body pains from Lyme all for nothing. When i told her about the Lyme situation she told me Lyme doesn’t exist.

I consider myself fortunate to have a family doctor the caliber of Dr Kohut for a number of years. Serefin Health is a wraparound clinic led by Dr Kohut and outstanding staff. You have immediate access to health care and follow up. As a result of Dr Kohut’s thoroughness, I was enrolled in a yearly screening program. The fabulous healthcare services that Serefin Health provides would be enough to highly recommend Serafin Health: Their highly qualified medical team works well together, ensuring that any medical issue is addressed immediately (Wait time is minimal), and escalated upward if the medical issue is more serious. The medical, and office team, are readily available and provide a warm personalized service.
What sets Serefin Health apart is the proactive healthcare provided by the clinic. Care that does not stop at the office door: More than once, we have received a late evening follow-up phone call from Dr.Vera Kohut, and once, when I had to go to Mount Sinai Hospital’s Emergency ward with an unknown malady, Dr. Kohut followed up by coming and consulting with the Emergency Ward Doctors (Note: The following day, the Mount Sinai lung specialist commented to me that, “You have an amazing and talented Doctor taking care of you”. I couldn’t agree more).

I have been a patient of Dr. Kohut for many years. She is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, empathetic and responsive. Any time I have a question or health concern I am seen within 24 hours. The clinic, staff and nurses are outstanding, welcoming and helpful. Dr. Kohut is an experienced physician and facilitates specialist appointments as required. I feel very secure in knowing my health is seen as a priority and there is always someone to assist and follow up. Dr. Kohut is the best family doctor I have ever had.

Dr. Vera Kohut is an excellent physician and very nice person! She listens, cares, and helps immensely with her most insightful input. I have never seen a medical clinic where everyone seems so happy as well as communicative with each other. Their organization is amazing and not something you see very often these days.
