After medical school, he moved to New York City to complete his internal medicine training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where he was also selected to complete a chief residency year. He then stayed within the health system and completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside & West, where he was chosen to serve as chief fellow during his final year of training.
