Beautifully decorated, the craftsmanship and details are stunning!
FRESH salsa and chips as you are seated. Our drinks were served promptly and refreshingly cold.
Let's talk about why you're really reading this, and that's the food. Best flautas I have ever had and the guacamole is nothing short of sensational.
The burrito took up literally the entire plate and was worth every bite.
Attentive service, friendly but not intrusive.

They have amazing ceviche, that is very flavorful. I suggest getting it with extra lemons or limes. I have ordered on multiple occasions and never been disappointed. Very cute spot with authentic vibes and a multi cultural staff. They serve a complimentary basket of chips and their bathroom was so clean.

Decided to try this restaurant. Im not a local resident. The atmosphere was decent. The waitress was nice. When the waiter came to take our order 5 minutes later, he came to our table, no greeting and no smile. He asked are you guys ready to order. His tone was very cold. We ordered. We got our approximately 10 minutes later. In all honesty the food was just fair. We went to pay the bill. The lady at the register says, you want money back. I was like WOW! in the end thet were tipped... if I ever go to Payson again. I will avoid this restaurant
DO BETTER!

Wait staff was fantastic. Food was delicious. Bathrooms was clean. I would recommend. We had pork carnitas and ground beef nacho plate. Both were delicious.

Pretty good food, pretty good prices, typical portions, service was slow but they were busy (11:30AM). Chips were average, salsa was good. Four stars. Parking can be an issue for larger vehicles though because La Sierra is located in a strip mall next to several other businesses, so you might have to park quite a ways from the entrance. This would not be recommended for people in wheelchairs or people who cannot walk far. There are also only two handicapped parking spots out front and I counted 16 regular parking spaces (unless you park down the block in front of other businesses). Do yourself a favor and look at the Google Maps Satellite view and check out the parking area before going, if you have issues walking.
We had the Mexican Pizza and an Enchilada Plate. The Mexican Pizza was generously topped and came out hot with a good balance of cheese, meat, and sauce. It was filling without being overly greasy, which I appreciated. The Enchilada Plate was solid as well—good flavor, traditional presentation, and satisfying portions of rice and beans on the side. Nothing overly fancy, but dependable and well-prepared.
Overall, it’s a reliable local spot with fair pricing and decent food. Just plan ahead for parking, especially during peak lunch hours, and you’ll likely have a positive experience.

We had a great experience here during our recent visit to Payson. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. When we arrived, the place was pretty empty, but it started getting busy shortly after. The staffs were friendly. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back again

What a super colorful, quaint place! The atmosphere was great and the food was very good. The complimentary chips and salsa were excellent! The service was good and the meals priced well. This was my first time eating here and I would definitely return when back in town!

I love this place. I stop whenever I am passing through and the food is always good. prices are reasonable and the service is very friendly. frequently I am alone and the staff does not treat lone diners like they are an inconvenience.

Our family loves stopping here anytime we drive through town. The colorful artistry everywhere you look just makes me feel happy. The staff is very friendly, and the food is awesome. I appreciate very much that their spicy salsa is actually spicy! My daughter is obsessed with the taco salad and I like the veggie fajitas. Highly recommend for anyone looking to step away from the typical chain restaurants!

The freshly made salsa is fantastic! They sell it - it’s that good. Great blended margaritas. The margaritas are not too strong- just enough! Highly recommend for a date night.

I stopped in here during a work trip, just me and my service dog, Oren. It's a cute place with colorful decor. The service was great. The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was good. Oren had space to lay down under the booth's bench.
They gave me chips and salsa after I ordered, and the salsa came in a little carafe with a bowl to pour it into. That was super cute, and I didn't need to ask for a refill. I ordered a combo plate with a chicken taco and pork tamale. It came with beans and rice. It was all super yummy. I will definitely stop by here again when I'm up in Payson.

Seriously delicious! Our fam LOVES Mexican food and La Sierra is totally worth the stop. We had a variety of food from chorizo & eggs, kids chicken tenders, fajita quesadillas, tacos and enchiladas. In the words of my 12 year old….La Sierra is W RIZZ!

Food was good and we got seated quick on a busy day. The decor is beautiful and colorful. We did have to try a bit harder to get the attention of our server

The red chili meat melted in your mouth but was missing flavor in red chili. The chicken tamale had no chicken just a carrot and masa. This establishment was highly recommended. Very disappointing

The food was quick and delicious. If you ever think about trying the Margarita flight, just do it you won't regret it.. unless your on your lunch break or something like that because they do pack a punch 😋

I liked it so much because it was really fresh, homemade and tasty!
I’m living Arizona for 6 years and I tried the Mexican food in many places and many times - but it never tasted so good!
The starters, salsa and chips were fresh made and excellent, really excellent. Then we’re trying tacos - I thought that I’m not a great fan of this - I was wrong.
Now I love tacos and can say that it was the really delicious.
And yes, it was only beginning-the Anaya salad and Fajita salad completed that experience.
I had no room for dessert and barely was able to go for hike after this - so I recommend hiking in Tonto Natural Bridge Park first - and then visiting La Sierra the restaurant.
Believe me, it worth!
