He then completed internal medicine internship and neurology residency at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with an emphasis in epilepsy at Yale New Haven Medical Center.
