We had such a great experience at Piano Piano! We ordered the vodka pasta and it was absolutely delicious!
The service was honestly outstanding.😍 Our server, Yaro, did an amazing job. He took the time to walk us through the menu, explained different dishes in detail, and helped us choose everything perfectly. All of the food came out super quickly and right on time, which made the whole experience even better!🥰
Also, thank you for the wine recommendation — the Chianti was genuinely amazing and paired perfectly with the meal!
Big thanks to Piano Piano for the incredible food, and special thanks to Yaro for the fantastic service! We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Would you eat this? If you were the chef would you even plate this? $22 Caesar salad and I was expecting something worth $22, not old visibly bad lettuce intentionally hidden under the rest of the salad. I read the reviews on Google and Tripadvisor. Saw lots of bad ones but lots of good ones too and I really really wanted to give this place a chance, but this first dish was impossible to ignore. Surely the restaurant had seen the bad reviews and yet they still allow this to happen? When I pointed out the lettuce, the server scooped it up and took it away, no apologies, just seemed annoyed that I would even complain. At least they took it off the final bill, speaking of which they charged our group of 7 20% gratuity without mentioning it up front. The service we received was not 20% service, orders were mixed up or missed, miscommunication, no pepper offered, water not refilled, barely any attention, food took so long to come out. I could go on but the picture of the lettuce tells the whole story. So very disappointing.

My daughter recommended Piano Piano, she was right about the food. It was phenomenal. Portion sizes were plentiful especially the bone in Veal.
The attention & service given Elizabeth were wonderful.
The bartender Phil, Wow! He is a true artist with the bar drinks. He was in his own world crafting beautiful, delicious drinks. His espresso martini!!! Like none i have ever tasted.
Not as romantic as we were hoping for however we would return and recommend this location 100%

We really enjoyed our evening here tonight! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and we were seated in a private, cozy booth. My daughter had the kids’ prix fixe menu and enjoyed her food. We had the family style menu (for three people) and it was a feast: three appetizers, a salad, a pasta, two entrees, and a dessert, plus a digestif on the house for each of us, and birthday cake with a giant sparkler for my husband. Our server was amazing - so warm and fun, and we really enjoyed getting to try so many delicious things off the menu. Thank you for a memorable birthday dinner! We’ve been to a couple other Piano Piano locations and will certainly be back. ❤️

Honestly, I don’t understand why this location has such low reviews — our experience was great from start to finish. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food was delicious, came out fresh, and the portions were generous.
The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, perfect for a night out. They also have great deals, which makes the value even better. We had zero complaints and would definitely come back!

I went to Piano Piano for Valentine’s Day lunch and had a truly disappointing experience.
Before making my reservation, I specifically called the restaurant to confirm whether they would be able to accommodate my dietary restrictions by replacing pork items on the menu. The person I spoke with assured me not to worry and said they would absolutely make the necessary changes. She mentioned that they would provide more details once I arrived at the restaurant. Based on that reassurance, I felt comfortable booking the reservation. Had I known that their idea of replacing protein would be adding a small amount of cheese, I likely would not have chosen to dine there. I genuinely feel misled.
The meal was advertised as a full-course Valentine’s menu, starting with a snack. Unfortunately, the snack was extremely small and underwhelming. The appetizer was a beet salad, which was actually the highlight of the meal.
The main course was a pasta with a meatball, meant to be shared between two people. The meatball was a mix of pork and beef. Because of my dietary restriction, I could not eat it. The only substitute offered was a small quantity of cheese added on top of the pasta. This is the first time I have encountered a restaurant replacing meat with cheese. It simply did not make sense as a comparable substitution, especially after I had been reassured in advance that accommodations would be made.
For dessert, the only option was tiramisu, which I was really looking forward to. However, the tiramisu contained pork gelatin. Due to this restriction, the only alternative offered was swirl ice cream, something you might expect from an ice cream truck. I fail to understand how swirl ice cream is considered an appropriate replacement for tiramisu. It felt completely mismatched and poorly thought out. Given that the regular menu offers multiple dessert options, I do not understand why another dessert could not have been substituted instead.
Even though the restaurant was nearly empty, the service was poor. The fixed-price menu was $50 per person. However, considering the meal consisted of a tiny snack, a beet salad, a shared pasta (without proper substitution), and basic swirl ice cream, it was difficult to justify paying $50 per person, especially when the main dish was shared between two people.
Overall, this felt like a very poorly planned Valentine’s Day menu and an even poorer attempt at accommodating dietary restrictions. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and truly hope they handle special menus and customer accommodations more thoughtfully in the future.

We chose to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Piano Piano in Oakville, and the evening was a mix of lovely moments and real disappointment.
To start with the positives, both of our servers were wonderful. Our first server was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which set a great tone for the night. The second server was also warm and professional, and we truly appreciated the care they showed us. The drinks were another highlight — we ordered the Heartthrob and the Piano Piano Spritz and loved both. Food-wise, the scallops and striploin were absolutely amazing. The pasta, cacio e carne, and fritto misto were just okay in terms of flavor, but the portions were generous.
Unfortunately, what stayed with us most was the experience with the floor manager. Throughout the evening, we watched her go from table to table, warmly checking in on guests across the entire floor. Despite making eye contact multiple times, she never came to speak with us — even once — while visiting literally every other table around us. As two women celebrating Valentine’s Day together, this felt uncomfortable and upsetting. Whether intentional or not, the difference in treatment felt exclusionary and left us feeling unwelcome.
In a country known for being LGBTQ+ friendly, equal service should be a given for everyone. We were there like any other couple, celebrating a special evening, and simply expected the same acknowledgment and hospitality shown to others.
While we truly appreciated our servers and some standout dishes, this experience ultimately overshadowed the night. Because of this, we don’t feel comfortable returning, and we hope the restaurant reflects on how all guests are welcomed and treated moving forward. Apparently not everyone is equally welcome here, I would be careful about going here!

Big fan of American Italian. I always end up trying the chicken/veal parm, Caesar salad, and the quality of their tomato sauce. Overall, passed the vibe check and enjoyed the ‘innovation’ on some of the more traditional dishes. Pizza is an absolute must and can be a stand-alone. Great service. Very slow kitchen.

Such a nice spot in downtown Oakville. Interior is beautiful and service is always good. Pasta is true ala Donte also don’t bother asking to add chicken to your Caesar salad, it’s a hard no. Brussel sprouts are a must. Recommend and will be back ☺️

I’ll be honest — my first visit to this Italian restaurant wasn’t great. The food was good, but the overall experience fell short of what I expected from a well-known chain. I wasn’t sure if I’d return, but I’m so glad I gave it another chance, because my second visit was a completely different story.
From the moment I arrived, everything felt elevated. Our server — a young gentleman whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch — delivered outstanding service from start to finish. He was attentive, polite, and genuinely kind, with the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. He checked in at just the right moments and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.
And the food? Absolutely fantastic. The pizza has always been my favourite, and this time it was flawless — crisp, flavourful, and perfectly made. It reminded me why this restaurant has so many loyal fans across its locations.
I’m truly impressed by how much better this experience was. It completely changed my perception of the restaurant and showed me that they really can get it right. I’m already looking forward to coming back again.

Came here for lunch, first time, and the food is damn good.
In my opinion it's kind of a cross between Italian and soulful American Italian(which is mostly Sicilian), but it is its own thing. They have some creative dishes like the roasted garlic grapes and focaccia with buratta - couldn't imagine that working and it did it's very much worth it.
The pizza is king, they actually make it right and don't care if anyone says it's burned (people who don't know good Neapolitan pizza think char is bad), it has such lovely char on the pies and perfect dough. For mains had eggplant Parm, not the usual they did a spin that was great with some big buttery artichoke hearts and it all blended together.
Service was great, staff is nice and I loved the server. Nice, not up in your face giving too much energy, came the perfect amount of times, love it. The restaurant had such a good vibe I'll definitely be back.

My friend and I came here for lunch back in June, we did the prefixed menu. I’ve been to Piano Piano at their Toronto locations, and always thought their dishes were just ok but decided to check out the Oakville location. The issue at this location wasn’t the food, but the service was awful. Wasn’t attentive, took a while to get our bill. All the food you get for $36 is too bad though. Good from a budget standpoint, you will leave full.

An excellent restaurant. The decor is gorgeous, the food is really good, and the staff are quite friendly. Friendly. Our server, whose name I think was Shawn, was probably one of the best servers I've ever had in a restaurant and we go out a fair amount.

Just recent went to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband. We always love coming here and actually had our wedding reception at this location. Service was excellent and prompt. Food came out pretty quickly and beyond delicious. Ambiance was quiet and lovely where we were sitting. I always recommend coming here for the best pizza and pasta!

We went to this restaurant because of its famous. The restaurant is beautiful outside and inside, services were great but the food was a bit salty. Overall, we enjoyed it.

Lovely Italian restaurant. Honestly think the inside is cuter than the patio, and they leave all the windows open so indoor seats feel very “outdoors” with better ambiance. The y toast appetizer was so delish. The burrata was not nearly as good, particularly because the bread didn’t taste fresh or impressive - just overcooked stale bread TBH (would be pressed to equate it to “focaccia” as they do in the menu). Nonetheless while the grilled grapes were interesting, the burrata was nothing more than Costco garlic bread, burrata and grilled grapes, all for the price of $26. Pizza was good, fair price, fair size. It is not clear which sauce goes on which, ie we were surprised that the fungi pizza was a white sauce. I believe that should come with a warning.
The octopus was good, albeit $80. It was a bit too vanilla (plain) for me to justify ordering again. It is shareable, size for 2 people, but not 3 as the waiter advertised.
Would come back and I would order differently. The only thing I would order again is the ricotta toast appetizer.
Need reservations for a summer Saturday night.
No piano in the background, which would elevate the atmosphere.

I had an event for 20 people, we did the family style dining, and the food was amazing and abundant! We had to take some home. Our server was incredible and helped make everything perfect!

It was our first time trying Piano Piano and we absolutely loved the ambiance and the decor — such a warm and inviting atmosphere.
We enjoyed the food overall, but the pasta was a bit firmer than we’re used to, which made it a little difficult to fully appreciate the delicious sauces. This did take away from the experience a bit.
That said, everything else was great: the flavors of the sauces were wonderful, and the service was good too. We’ll definitely give it another try next time and hope the pasta will be cooked a little softer.

My husband and I just had our wedding reception at Piano Piano on Friday and it did not disappoint! This restaurant has been a long time favourite of mine, so when deciding on an intimate restaurant reception to celebrate our big day, this was the answer. The food is delicious, the staff were so helpful and friendly, and our guests had a wonderful time. Thank you!

I recently hosted my bridal proposal at Piano Piano’s Oakville location and I truly couldn’t have asked for a more magical experience. From start to finish, everything was absolute perfection. They also allowed me to show up 15 minutes before my reservation to set up my table with some flowers and boxes.
The ambiance was warm, elegant, and intimate—exactly the kind of atmosphere I was hoping for. The staff went above and beyond to make the lunch special, accommodating every detail with care and professionalism. They made me and my bridal party feel so celebrated, and their attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed.
The food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Paired with amazing drinks and impeccable service, the entire lunch felt like a dream. I highly recommend the piano piano spritz, the piano piano Caesar salad, the sweet hornet pizza and the Nutella tiramisu!!!
Thank you to the entire team at Piano Piano for helping create one of the most unforgettable memories of my wedding journey. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just have great food and service- this is it! 💍🥂✨

This is the second time I have been to Piano Piano for a celebration. Both times they have come up trumps. We were served by Katie who was just delightful and the other servers and bar staff were also lovely and helpful. The food was delicious, we did the special Sunday supper which gave us a (big) taste of some of the dishes - way too much for us so we have some tasty food for lunch tomorrow! The cocktails we had were delicious and the house wine was very good. Ambience was energetic but not too loud, my husband and I could talk easily but there was a buzz around us which we appreciated. I would put this as the best affordable restaurant in Oakville.

We went there to celebrate my sister's birthday the other day and had a good time. Aside from the table beside us who just got louder and more obnoxious the more they drank, the atmosphere was nice. Food was good...everything came out nice and hot. My favorites were the clams and donut and caviar...really good!!
