After hearing from many friends about the food in the food court so we decided to give it a try on our way back from Baltimore. We went around 5:30 pm for some chai. The supermarket was decent, with prices as usual with other markets in Maryland, but we found more choices of items and the suppliers, especially from Andhra, which is not found in Patel Brothers or other local Indian stores.
As for the food court we ordered onion samosa and mirchi Bhajji with tea. The mirchi bhaji was good, but we would prefer purchasing by the piece instead of being forced to pay for four pieces as an order. Anyways, that was cost-effective, but as a customer, we would like to have the choice to try it out before buying more. Onion samosa was delicious and the tea was alright but it could be a bit stronger.
For the kids we ordered chicken Hakka noodle that took a while for the order to come but that was fine. The quantity was too small for the price, and it was too spicy. The noodles were sticky and overcooked. It was a bad order that they could work on improving. First time the kids hated the Hakka noodles so better to avoid indo Chinese here. We observed that indo Chinese was not a fast moving item but the south Indian items. We ordered idlis and masala Dosa. The three idlis were delicious and just right for the price. We loved the chutneys especially the ginger chutney that we don't get anywhere in the US. The masala Dosa was crispy and was served with the same chutneys. Dosa was too good with the sambhar and chutney. We didn't like the potato filling in the dosa which was the same as a vada pav stuffing. The potato was bland and not apt for a masala Dosa. Probably they were trying to reuse the same potato in many dishes which is a bad idea. They need to improve that for an authentic masala Dosa taste. We ordered the chicken biryani to go. The chicken biryani was good and got full marks. Summary stay away from Indo Chinese but have the evening snacks and the south Indian delicacies. They were making hot hot punugulu and bondas that would try it next time.

The food was decent, though the menu lacks flexibility for spice customized order, which may not suit everyone's palate. Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. The staff appeared uninterested, inattentive and disengaged, which affected the overall dining experience. On one occasion, a dish we hadn't ordered was placed on our table. When we flagged it, a staff member condescendingly asked to check our bill rather than simply accepting our word, which felt dismissive. The dish was then moved to another table without an apology or acknowledgment.
Overall, it was a disappointing visit. Good food alone isn't enough to make a meal enjoyable — how guests are treated matters just as much.

I went to Triveni this morning for breakfast and noticed the T20 World Cup final cricket match playing live. It was a great place to sit, enjoy breakfast, and chat while watching such an exciting game. The atmosphere in the store was lively, with many customers following the match.
After team India won the match, the team at Triveni played the famous Chak De India song and surprised everyone by serving free hot Jalebi to all customers who were having breakfast or lunch. It was a wonderful and unexpected gesture from the manager, and it made everyone in the store very happy.
Moments like this create a great community feeling. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture and for making the celebration special for customers. By the way, both the breakfast and lunch were awesome!
Wishing the team at Triveni all the best!

Triveni Super Market mainly caters to the Indian community, offering a wide range of groceries and products commonly sought by Indians and other Asian customers. Almost all vegetables typically available in India can be found here, along with a good variety of Asian grocery items.
The supermarket also has an in-house food court, which is usually very crowded—an indication of its popularity. However, the service at the food court tends to be slow, as it takes extra time to serve customers. The space inside the store feels somewhat limited, and adding a few more staff members could greatly improve efficiency and overall customer experience.
Despite these areas for improvement, it remains a convenient and well-stocked destination for Asian groceries

The newly renovated food court is great. Lot more varieties than before. Tastes good. In-house bakery is a plus. Sweet tasted good as well. The only downside is the service time. Everything takes much longer than what they say as wait time. It's better to order first and then go do the shopping and come back.
New butcher shop and roti machine are good additions. Staff always act clueless in both restaurant and additional areas.

Triveni Food Court – First Visit Review
I visited Triveni Food Court yesterday(1/13/26), shortly after their opening on Monday, and overall it was a good experience.
I tried a few snack items, and the taste was good. The food felt fresh, and the place was well-maintained with a clean environment. It was quite busy, which is understandable since it’s newly opened.
Service-wise, the staff was good and polite. Compared to previous experiences with other places, they were not rude at all. I also noticed that if something didn’t go right, they were ready to fix it immediately. I feel this might be because it’s a new opening, but if they continue this approach consistently, it would definitely reflect great customer service.
Coming to pricing — most items are reasonably priced. They’re neither too expensive nor too cheap, but fairly aligned with competitors. I understand that some snack items take more effort and cost to prepare fresh. However, a few items felt overpriced, especially Idly and Vada.
I haven’t tried the main menu yet, such as biryanis and entrées. From what I saw, the prices seem reasonable, but I didn’t notice any family pack biryani options.
On my next visit, I’m planning to try:
• Poori or Parotta with chicken or goat curry
• Biryanis
I’ll share more based on my personal experience after trying those items.
This feedback is purely based on my solo visit, and I hope it helps both readers and the food court management.

Very disappointed. I bought goat leg and liver, but the weights charged were much higher than what I actually received. Goat leg was marked 4.09 lbs but weighed only 3.02 lbs at home. Liver was marked 2 lbs but weighed just 1.13 lbs. This feels like cheating. Will not return.

Everything tasted homemade, just like a traditional Indian meal. The portion sizes were generous, and the flavors were rich and comforting. The setup was clean and organized, and the service was quick and friendly. The yogurt drink and raita were perfect cooling additions to balance the spices.

Affordable prices and Convenient Timings of are the stand out factors for this store I found. Probably the only grocery store which opens till late night. I have always had good experience visiting this store. The Staff is helpful and friendly, I can shop late nights after work that’s the best part. Looking forward to see the New Food Court.

Vegetables are very cheap compared to other stores. Food court is under construction when I visited.

I usually buy my Indian groceries and vegetables from Triveni Supermarket in Ellicott City near Baltimore. It is a reliable destination for South Asian grocery needs. The store offers a wide selection of authentic products including spices, lentils, rice varieties, flours, cooking oils, and a good range of fresh fruits and vegetables. Shoppers can also find dry fruits, snacks, frozen items, and pantry staples essential for Indian and South Asian cooking. The store is generally well-organized and clean, which makes browsing easy and convenient. However, one area for improvement is pricing transparency—many items lack clear price tags, and customers only discover the cost during checkout. Some visitors have also mentioned occasionally finding expired or near-expiry products on the shelves. Despite these issues, Triveni remains a popular choice for quality groceries in the area, especially for those looking for authentic South Asian ingredients close to home.

I had a really disappointing experience at this Indian grocery store. The staff was unhelpful and seemed uninterested in answering any questions. The store was disorganized, with products scattered everywhere and many items past their expiration dates. I was shocked by the lack of cleanliness, especially in the fresh produce section—some fruits and vegetables were rotten!
The prices were also much higher compared to other stores, and the checkout process was chaotic and slow. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and I won’t be coming back. I hope they improve their customer service and maintain better hygiene standards in the future.

The cleanliness of the kitchen, the handling of orders, and the staff's response were all very poor. The staff was rude and unhelpful, there were no clear directions, and the seating area was also untidy. I've visited many desi supermarkets, but I've never encountered such a messy environment, especially in the vegetable and kitchen areas.

I used to love this place. In my recent trip to India I told my family that now we get very authentic and delicious fresh Samosas in Ellicott city. But my last 3-4 visits to this place were very disappointing. I don’t know if its new management, new cook/chef. They have subpar food. Lot of time, they even don’t have food.last 2 times they served stale food. As you can see the Samosas are burnt at places. The shell was soggy and too oily. This happens when you reheat them. The review is just to seek their attention, if they can correct it. Otherwise such an authentic place will be lost.

The customer service at the food court is very poor, and I have observed this on multiple occasions.
I called the food court to place an order, but the person on the call was speaking in Telugu with another employee instead of assisting me with my order.
Whenever I order food at the counter, they don’t respond properly. They don’t even greet customers with a simple “Hi” or “Hello.” It’s evident that they need proper training on how to interact with customers.
There are usually 3-5 employees, all speaking Telugu, at the counter. They often use inappropriate language in Telugu, even in front of customers. I have told them once before that they shouldn’t use bad language in a customer-facing environment.
I strongly feel that everyone working at the food court needs proper training on how to treat customers professionally.

Decent place
Indian snacks available
Cleanliness could be better
Went here with a friend to have tea. Had tea and samosa. The Indian style tea was freshly prepared and stored. Little too sweet for my taste. The samosa was pretty decent. The place is open till about 2 am.
They have a small cafeteria inside the Indian store. The vegetable and grocery section looks interesting.
Cleanliness wise they can definitely do a much better work.

I am not one to write reviews but, I recently had a terrible experience with Triveni that I feel compelled to share. I ordered a package of pastries for my niece's 10th birthday, and the store's poor packaging led to 8 out of 10 pastries being crushed and inedible.
When I called the store to address the issue, I spoke with an employee who was extremely unprofessional. She argued with me for 15 minutes and 38 seconds, claiming she had talked to the manager, but then contradicted herself by saying she was alone and couldn't do anything about my complaint. I requested to speak with the owner, only to be told that she was the manager and the owner was not available.
This employee's conflicting statements and unhelpful attitude were frustrating. Despite my polite persistence, she continued to interrupt me and refused to offer any solution. I overheard her speaking to the owner on the phone, where they agreed to issue a refund, but when she returned to our conversation, she flatly refused to do anything. When I asked to speak to the manager again, she hung up on me.
This experience ruined my niece's birthday celebration. I am deeply disappointed with the lack of customer service and the blatant dishonesty displayed by the staff. I will not be shopping at Triveni again, and I advise others to be wary of their service!
