I would strongly caution anyone considering buying a used vehicle from Groove Subaru.

I purchased a Toyota RAV4 that I was told was in good mechanical condition. Our sales agent, Cornelius, was great to work with, very helpful, and made the buying process a positive experience. Unfortunately, everything after the sale was the complete opposite.

On the drive home, the RAV4 immediately began throwing check engine lights for misfires. The next day I found large rocks and gravel inside the air filter housing, which made me seriously question what kind of inspection the service department actually performed before putting this vehicle up for sale. Three days after purchasing it, my wife was stranded on the side of the road after the vehicle overheated and lost coolant.

I am now over $1,500 into repairs including ignition coils, spark plugs, coolant system repairs, water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, and more.

I emailed General Manager James Taylor directly, explained the entire situation, and gave Groove Subaru an opportunity to address it. I received no response at all.

Older vehicles can need repairs. That isn’t the issue. The issue is having major problems immediately after leaving a dealership that represented the vehicle as being in good mechanical condition, followed by what I consider extremely poor customer service from upper management and serious concerns about the quality of the service department’s inspection.

Cornelius was great, but based on my experience with the service department and upper management, I would not purchase another vehicle from Groove Subaru. I would strongly recommend having any used vehicle from this dealership independently inspected before buying.

I went there for just an alignment work. I wasn’t planning on purchasing a vehicle. Thanks to CJ for his hospitality and genuine customer service. He helped my vehicle get valued and offered me a great trade in value which I am still surprised. Now I enjoy my brand new vehicle with a better apr. We are scheduled for another trade in for this coming Saturday because why not drive something brand new for a better deal. Thanks for all of the Sales Managers and CJ for his GREAT customer service.

Absolutely incredible service from everyone we interacted with! Bought a new Wilderness Crosstrek from Bernadette and Connor, and they were wonderful. We got a great deal, the process was extremely smooth, and they were very kind and easy to work with. I will absolutely be bringing my new vehicle back for service at this dealer and I’m sure when the time comes I’ll return again to purchase my next car! They had a great selection of vehicles. Joshua from service was also very helpful with my trade-in. The other staff members I interacted with, including the GM, Preston, and Ethan were also friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you want a conscientious team who cares about keeping the customer satisfied, not just about the money.
