Ryan did the maintenance on our Laars Boiler for the underfloor heating system. He did a great job and also made us aware of some additional problems that need to be fixed. This is the first time we used Hansen Plumbing and we will certainly use them again.

I've dealt with Hansen Plumbing and Heating for years and they are by far the best in the business. Their personnel are courteous and arrive on time. they get the job done quickly and are clean about it. You can't go wrong by calling Hansen!

We called to make an appointment to get our air conditioning looked at as it was not working. We were given an appointment but then the next day were called back to say that they had made a mistake and it was now going to be two more days later than original appointment date. This is the second time they have done this to us. I do not believe it is a system error as we were told but more like taking potentially larger jobs and pushing us back down the line. The work they have done has been good but this issue does not portray a professional nor customer orientated approach. Would be hesitant to call them for future work.

hansen has done all the work in my house which includes, toilets, sinks,furnace, hot water tank. I have always been very satisfied with their work and the people they hire. I wouldnt go anywhere else

We called out Hansen as our furnace had a pressure switch error. The tech (very nice gentleman) determined it required a new pressure switch without really looking into it to much. He came back later, installed the pressure switch and charged 400$ to do so. One hour later, the furnace had the same error, a new tech came out, checked the exhaust and found it was blocked. He fixed the block and voila. The next day I called to ask if the pressure switch was necessary work (which of course it was not) only to be talked down to by the individual working the phones. This was by far the worst customer service I have had in my life. Simple inquiry about whether the work seemed warranted and ended up very upset. The worst part is that both techs were very friendly, I wish I could say the same for whoever they have offering ",customer service"

I got a hot water tank a year ago from you and was VERY happy with the service. This is why I came to you for my soft water tank.
On January 8th the person showed up right on time to remove the old tank and install the new one. He was very pleasant and did an excellent job. No complaints in that regard.
My 2 issues are:
1. did not receive any orientation to the new tank and how to service it/operate it.
2. Part of the deal was that the other tank would be hauled away. It wasn't. The guy who installed the new tank told me that I would be receiving a call re the removal of the old tank. The call never came. As I was getting some work done in the basement, I had to get some other guys to haul it away for me. I hope I was not charged for this in my price on the new tank.

I had Hansen Plumbing in about three years ago following a flooring reno...was very impressed by their service. A current kitchen and bathroom reno required quite a number of plumbing fixes and reconfigurations. The plumber was really helpful in explaining what he needed to do and performed the work in a timely, efficient manner. He was also great with my house-full of overly-friendly pets! Hansen Plumbing will be back for all the remaining reno requirements and for any future plumbing needs! Thanks!

My furnace was an existing original from 1967.
It stopped running completely just as the weather was turning cold, about freezing at night and plus 8 or so during the days. It was my mom who found Hansen in the phone book on Tuesday morning. I called them and a very nice young man came out and took a look at the situation. By 6pm he had sent me a very honest and reasonable quote and his demeanour made me feel comfortable. I called them right away to accept the quote later Tuesday evening. They came Thursday morning at 9am and were done by 4pm. Everything was professionally installed and was left very clean and tidy. They took all old furnace and garbage away. I was so happy, now it is -20 degrees and I smile when that furnace kicks in cause I know I am warm and fuzzy, haha!!

The plumber discussed what he might have to do, he tried the easy and cheaper fix first but had to replace more piping due to how he needed to tie into the existing piping. He discussed it with me and I agreed with his recommendation as it was quite apparent.
The work was thorough, reasonably priced, and the service call was within 2 days of my phoning for service.
The plumber did leak test his work by running the kitchen tap at full open, and the new piping did not appear to leak. However when I ran my dishwasher which is connected to the piping, there was some minor seepage at the threaded elbow connection. Simply tightening the connection did not stop the seepage. I though about calling the plumber back but I decided to try some teflon tape on the threaded connection first. The teflon tape that I applied solved the problem and now there is no leak when I run my tap or my dishwasher.

Gave average rating because the technician couldn't replace the furnace cover correctly so, I had to redo it myself and then when the bill was written up it was $7 higher than the quote

This company gives excellent service and I was then very pleased to find out that they also donate some of their proceeds to local charities. There was a mix-up with my first appointment and the receptionist changed the appointment with no problems, no attitude. She was very kind and understanding and helpful with the whole situation. I would recommend them for their installation work and also for their service.

I was offered only a fixed-rate estimate to repair a leak after description of a "complete rebuild", was refused a time and materials arrangement. As it turned out the job was done in under an hour with little effort and materials, and cost over $500 including call-out.
