We are very pleased!
This is one friendly, knowledgeable and professional company. From the website to installation there was only excellence.
We always like to shop local and finding such great people so close to home was a bonus. They really take pride in a job well done-at a good price.
Surprisingly, our email inquiry was directly answered. That is a rarity. Bal, in the store, was so kind and helpful and knew her stuff. Christian, the owner, did the installation. He arrived right on time for our stair job, (I mean to the minute) and was so thorough and nice.
We will definitely use their services for our planned kitchen reno.
Great Job!

Used El Nino floors for a carpet installation on my staircase. Not only were the prices better than the big box stores like Alexandian, but dealing with the owner, Christian, made it a no stress job. Guy was easy to talk to and had his crews come in within the week. Stairs were done in a single day and the installers didn't make a mess of my house. Will be using this company for my upcoming flooring projects

I recently had my main floor done by El Niño flooring. From start to finish I was impressed with the customer service, especially Bal, who helped guide me on choosing the right product. She was highly knowledgable and explained everything I needed to know. When it came to installation, the team was very professional and ensured I was happy throughout the entire install. They were accommodating and very creative in making it work on an old 60s bungalow with wonky walls and floors. I did get other quotes, but pricing could not be matched. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for new hardwood floors.

I recently had my main level done with engineered flooring and my upper level done with carpet including a runner on the stairs. Extremely pleased with the results and the price. El Nino Floors did an awesome job! The staff at the store were very professional and helpful and their installers did a terrific job. I will definitely be contacting them again when I am ready to do the carpet in my basement.

I hired El Niño to replace my existing hardwood floors and kitchen tiles with LVP, and I’m happy with the results. They did a good job removing the kitchen tiles and installing the new flooring. The store staff were friendly and helpful.
Bal did an exceptional job with follow-ups and ensuring the installation went smoothly. She went out of her way to make sure even the smallest details were not overlooked. The two custom-made stairs are beautiful as well. Thank you!

I normally never leave negative reviews, but my experience with El Nino Floors needs to be shared so others can make informed decisions.
I hired El Nino Floors for vinyl flooring, baseboards, and hardwood stair installation — a project quoted at over $24,000. The job was supposed to take 5–7 days. Instead, it dragged on for weeks with numerous issues that were never resolved.
The flooring installation left multiple deficiencies, including soft spots, damaged and uneven baseboards, visible gaps, glue residue, and unfinished areas. Their workers also caused damage to my walls, trim, and even created a ceiling leak when removing a toilet.
The staircase situation was unacceptable and unsafe. They removed my carpet and spindles before they were ready to install the oak caps, leaving my family — including a child — with exposed, unstable stairs for more than 3 weeks. Their staining attempts also turned the oak green, and the installer sanded the wood inside my garage, covering my garage, driveway, and car in thick sawdust that I had to spend days cleaning myself.
Communication was extremely inconsistent. Workers would show up with no notice, or not show up at all. Often the owner would call off the crew working here and at my neighbors to go start a new job, leaving our homes in disarray for days on end.
After repeatedly asking for repairs and proper completion, the company eventually issued a partial refund, but it did not come close to covering the cost of the professional repair quotes I received to fix the flooring issues, damages, and to redo the stairs properly.
I have emails, photos, messages, and third-party quotes documenting everything. I hope this review helps others avoid the stress, cost, and disruption that I went through.

I had a great experience with this flooring store when I got my hardwood floors. Their prices were very fair, and everyone there was extremely helpful from start to finish.
They also recommended an installer, Stan, who was fantastic, very professional and truly excellent at what he does. The owner of the store is also wonderful: always on top of things and ready to help in any way he can, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
Overall, I’m very happy with both the product and the service. Highly recommend!

Great experience with super friendly staff!
We recently purchased LVP from El Nino and it was the easiest experience ever! If you've ever had to replace flooring, you know that finding the right colour and product can be challenging. We absolutely loved working with Moe as she made it super simple, especially since we could pick out some large floor samples and bring them home to see how the colours did in our home/lighting. The prices are great and the process is simple; a win-win in our opinion! Thanks SO Moe!!

Christian and everyone else we dealt with at El Nino flooring were so friendly and helpful. Christian was very knowledgeable and explained everything so well to us. We also found by far the best deals offered here compared to anyplace else we visited. Quality flooring, very happy.

Vinyl flooring they installed falling apart within a year of installation. Came to see and then blamed manufacturer of floor who blames them. Emailed 3 solutions all requiring more money. If could give zero rating would. No follow thru with unhappy customer. They don’t stand behind their work

We recently hired El Nino flooring for a last minute job and they were able to meet our deadline. The quality of their workmanship was outstanding, and they completed the project on time without cutting any corners. The floors look incredible, and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. Working with Christian is so easy - he is reliable and always there to answer any questions. I'm very happy with the results and would highly recommend El Nino flooring to anyone looking for top-notch flooring services.

Disappointing Experience Despite Friendly Staff
We recently ordered a carpet installation from El Nino Flooring, and while the staff in the shop were incredibly friendly and helpful, the installation process was a negative one.
From the moment the installer arrived, there were red flags. He accidentally bashed his saw into our front door, which my wife and I chalked up to a mistake. However, the installer's carelessness became more apparent as the job progressed—he dragged his nail gun up the stairs by its cord, which didn't inspire confidence.
After the carpet was installed (which was done well), we inspected it and were initially satisfied. Unfortunately, the problems started once the installer left. My wife noticed several dents in the walls and large black grease marks, resembling handprints, in multiple areas. To make matters worse, we found several loose staples lying on the carpet—a serious safety hazard, especially as we have small children. We even discovered a staple in the ceiling, which was baffling. There was also a grease stain in the carpet.
When I called El Nino to express our concerns, I tried to be understanding, acknowledging that such issues can occur when subcontractors are involved. However, it still reflected poorly on the company. They promised to make it right, but the next day, they sent the same installer back to fix the problems, which I felt was poor judgment. When he arrived, he denied responsibility for the black marks, claiming they were likely caused by our children—who weren't even home at the time. Despite his denials, we had taken pictures immediately after he left, which clearly showed the damage was his doing.
To make matters worse, after the installer left, El Nino called asking for payment without addressing the issues or offering any apology for the negative experience. It felt like they didn’t truly acknowledge what happened. This situation was handled poorly. Unfortunately, it was a negative experience overall.
