He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University in 1992, then earned his MD from SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn in 1996. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Emory University in Atlanta (1996-1999), followed by a General Cardiology fellowship (1999-2002) and an Interventional Cardiology fellowship (2002-2003) at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
