He attended the University of Connecticut earning Bachelor of Science degrees in biological sciences and physiology & neurobiology at the Storrs campus. He returned to his home state of New Jersey to earn his medical doctorate at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. For residency training, Dr. Wolferz chose the University of Utah for its distinctive blend of community and university training. During residency, he served as chief resident and was awarded the Utah Academy of Family Physicians Resident Leadership Award in 2023. Dr. Wolferz strives to take a whole-person, lifestyle medicine approach to patient care.
