Jeff was incredibly friendly and responsive from the start, answering all my questions before I even booked. He took the time to customize the project based on what we were looking for, which made the experience feel very personal.

He also sent helpful reminders leading up to the session, which I really appreciated. When we arrived, it was clear right away that his workshop is fully equipped with professional-grade tools and equipment.

Jeff is very knowledgeable and places a strong emphasis on safety. He walked us through precautions in detail and even explained common ways people get injured, which made us feel much more confident.

What stood out most was his teaching style. Instead of just having us follow instructions, he asked thoughtful questions about how things are made and why, which really encouraged us to think and learn. There was a great balance between independence and support — he stepped in when needed (especially when I wasn’t comfortable using certain tools like the saw), but otherwise let us work through things ourselves.

The learning felt very well-paced and tailored to our comfort level. We were engaged the whole time without feeling overwhelmed. Since it’s a one-on-one class, you really get his full attention, which makes a big difference.

We’re very happy with what we made and would highly recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a premium, hands-on woodworking experience.

I just came back from a lesson with my 2 boys and we all had a lot of fun. Jeff is patient and really organized in the way he teaches. My boys built a tool box and I stayed with them during the lesson. It was great and we are already planning the next project.

I had a fantastic experience working with Jeff. He is a patient, direct, and encouraging teacher. Jeff is clear in his guidance and generous with his knowledge. I brought him an entryway bench and wanted to replace the black metal legs with new ones. Together, we installed new brackets, stained the wood, and along the way I learned how to use the tools with confidence.
Though the project was small, the impact on my entryway has been significant. I would recommend Jeff without hesitation and look forward to returning for future projects.

My son’s high school doesn’t offer Wood Shop courses so finding Jeff and his studio was the perfect opportunity to introduce my son to woodworking. His experience was fantastic! Jeff was patient, friendly, funny, attentive and very knowledgeable. My son learns best through direct instruction so the one to one session allowed him to focus and maximize his time with the tools and materials. Walking away with a toolbox he made was confidence boosting! This valuable experience has inspired my son to pursue woodworking as a potential career. Jeff was fantastic to work with. I came in with a rough idea but not a fully formed plan, and he took the time to walk me through different options—where to cut the beams, how to approach the finish, and what would actually look best in the space. He wasn’t pushy at all, just genuinely helpful and thoughtful.

What really stood out was how instructive he was. He explained the process clearly, gave practical advice, and even suggested creative ways to reuse the offcuts for other projects. It felt collaborative rather than transactional.

He also went a bit above and beyond with small extras and insights that I wasn’t expecting, which I really appreciated. If you’re working with wood and want someone who knows their craft and actually helps you think through your project, Jeff is the guy.

Jeff is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher who made our woodworking project come to life! We wanted to make a unique DIY lamp side table, and Jeff helped us through every step! His expertise was extremely valuable as he guided us through selecting our material, coming up with each next step (without any instruction manual for our DIY), and resolving challenges that came up. I had a small project—just needed the legs of my work table shortened—but Jeff treated it with the same care and expertise as if it were a major job. He made himself available on short notice, even on a Sunday night and Monday morning, which I really appreciated. What stood out the most was his attention to detail—he made sure to cut the legs at an angle to suit the table’s design, something I hadn’t even thought about. We had a great experience with Jeff in his workshop. I wanted my son to experience making something from scratch rather than a kit. Even though it was his first experience with woodworking he made a nice birdhouse of which he's very proud.

Jeff is patient and provides clear instruction and explanations for each step. To anyone interested I recommend coming to Jeff with idea of what you want to accomplish. You'll get something much more meaningful to you and have more fun doing it!

Had another great day working on my dinning table with Jeff. It is fun and satisfying to make something and not simply click to buy it online or from a store. Jeff is very easy to work with. His help and knowledge is much appreciated. Jeff even helped me find the wood for the project. We could not find the same wood. The wood I chose is not a match yet is very pretty and looks fabulous on the table.

Bought a class for my boys as a Christmas gift and they liked it a lot. Jeff is a good instructor, safe, instructions were clear, he was helping all the time when needed. I am excited to share the wonderful experience I had working with Jeff on my personal project. His guidance has completely changed how I view cabinetry and furniture.
