We are newcomers to this city. The school is so friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The teachers are warm and caring. One warning I have for newcomers is some local parents are not friendly. When we were re-enrolling for next term, one tried to convince us to transfer to another school. Lucky for us, we spoke to the teachers. This also happened to other families. We found out later that because the school is small and there is no guarantee in re-enrollment, some people will do anything to convince others to go somewhere else to save a spot for their own children. I hope the school expands so families don't have to worry.

Being new to the city, it was difficult for us to choose a school for our kids. Finding this was a gem. The teachers are caring and attentive. The other pluses include a community of families who are also new to Vancouver, and this made us feel even more welcome.
There is one downside, though: due to the limited spots at this school, it seems that some parents will do anything to dissuade newcomers in hopes of saving spots for their children and children of their friends. Recently, at re-enrollment some of us "new" families were told by another parent that the school was already full and tried to encourage us to apply to other schools. That parent, of course, continues to send her children to the school.

Our family loves being part of this community. The teachers and administration are warm and professional. Best of all, they are connected to the community - they have names of babysitters and family child care-givers that they were able to refer us to.

They don't advertise like other preschools but are full because of word-of-mouth. Many families who go to Mole Hill Montessori enroll as returning families and for the great educational experience the whole community offers including an elementary program. They also value privacy so your child's photos are not going to be plastered all over their website, nor do they publish their address everywhere. If you want a secure, caring place for your child, this is the one!
Most of the families who go here friendly, and "chilled". If you're uptight, pretentious and demanding, don't ruin our community by coming here! Whoever wrote the awful comment is either a competitor, a disgruntled employee or a difficult parent!

I went to mole hill when I was in preschool. Now I'm in high school and have to say that Mole Hill Montessori was a great experience! They're very friendly and professional and provide a variety of activities for the kids. I remember they taught us basic writing, reading, french, mandarin, and math. They also provided music, art, social studies, etc. which is something a regular kindergarten or preschool rarely or never provides. If you want your child to succeed in school later on in life, mole hill is definitely a school to look into and I highly recommend it. I can't stress enough about how much I love this school!

My experience with the staff has been shockingly unprofessional. I cannot imagine these people teach little children.

There are two Mole Hills in the West End. Our family's experience at Mole Hill Montessori has been nothing short of stellar. We currently have 3 children at their school, Mole Hill and their elementary location, Anchor Point. We have known the staff and administration to be fair, caring and kind. The Mole Hill Montessori location also houses another preschool which is playbased and does not provide the same educational content or continuity.
