I think it’s gross that the ambulance unloads their medical waist at local gas stations leaving soiled gloves for gas station employees to clean up. For as much as people pay for an ambulance rides, I find it hard to believe you can’t use the hospital medical waist bins or god forbid pay for a disposal service of your own.

Heartbroken at the lack of care and respect they showed my mom While transporting her from Munster community Hospital across the street to Hartsfield rehab. They picked up my 80-year-old mother who just fell and broke her hip and had a hip replacement and suffering from pneumonia and drove her out to the Whiting/Hammond area to drop someone else off while she was strapped into a wheelchair on a 95° day on pain meds with blood pressure issues and no way to contact anyone. Luckily I had her location on my phone and saw that she was sitting in front of a home for well over an hour in Hammond. My heart was breaking and I was extremely concerned about her safety and well-being and had to call the hospital to find out who took her and why she didn’t arrive across the street like she was supposed to. I told them that I can see the ambulance has been sitting in front of a home for well over an hour and as soon as I said that the ambulance started moving. Finally over two hours later the driver pulls up with my mom slumped over in the back, sweating and uncomfortable In pain. I asked the driver what took so long and why she would take someone who was in my mom‘s condition and needed to come across the street all the way to Hammond. She says it’s just easier for her to go to the furthest stop and work her way back with no regard for the condition of the patient she is transporting. Just Heartbreaking. I called superior to discuss the incident and was supposed to get a phone call back but never did. I called back a few days later and spoke to manager who said he was busy and didn’t have time to call me back…..I was told they would look into it. I’m sure the bill is already in the mail. I’ll see how the company responds, but right now I’ll just give the driver one star because zero is not an option.

If they are charging for services due to an accident they are basically stealing from people because they have contracts with the township to provide services of treatments and transportation to hospitals from accident scenes they are already paid for this service for 24 hours 7 days a week for almost 100'000 a month

LESS THAN ONE STAR - Greedy and Predatory!!

It is incredible that this company preys on elderly people like my 102 year old grandfather. He fell in his bedroom, my 100 year old grandmother called 911 to get him checked and back in bed. The minimum Roll On Charge is $900!!! Medicare does not cover 911 Response….. Just showing up and helping him into bed twice is $1800 for my grandmother to pay. Shame on you NOY VERY Superior Ambulance!!!

They overworked their workers 36 hours per shift. I feel bad for the workers. They have to go to home to love ones. I feel bad for your loved ones imagining how to deal with a person being gone out your life for so long I never had an account with this companybut I’ll tell you their workers are very unhappy there.

BEWARE- fraudulent billing practices. We were in the ER with our daughter and the doctors wanted her transferred to a children’s hospital. They advised us to take medical transport and called the ambulance company.

Superior ambulance company bills at rates significantly higher than their competitors, resulting in THOUSANDS of dollars in excess charges. Customer service’s rationale for the excessive billing is that they are a private company, so basically they do it because they can get away with it. Or they’re trying to at least- there have been numerous complaints filed against them to the Better Business Bureau, and there will soon be another.

Avoid Superior Ambulance if at all possible. It’s sickening that a company in the business of ‘helping people’ is attempting to fraudulently take advantage of people during such a vulnerable time.

I was driving a delivery route for Amazon a few years ago when I had a physically traumatic event. I injured myself by tripping on a garden stone and damaging my neck and back on the size of my van. This wasn't the responding location, but the one in the area already had a dispatched EMT in Demotte like three minutes away. They got there as fast as possible and treated me with dignity and respect, trying to get me to the stretcher to go to the hospital. At the time I was an impatient man fearful for my state of body because my whole right side was limp from the impact on the vehicle and I was shown the best, quickest quality of care I've ever received from any company or hospital dispatched ambulance. To the people in the company looking at the reviews, thank you and expect me at the informational class come the 8th to build me into the very EMT that very well might have saved my life that night.
