I've worked with Dr. Alla Nikonova for a couple of years now, and I keep being impressed by her knack of finding exactly correct words to make one look at himself and his life/circumstances from a different perspective. She was instrumental for getting me out of depression, finding a new path to take with the family relationships. Another important aspect of her approach to helping people to solve their problems is the fact that she is very adept at short-time sharply focused interventions. My two years of working with her consisted of a couple of projects that targeted different aspects of my psychological well-being, each consisting of less than ten meetings. Yet the benefits has been really profound - I've become a much better husband and father. Last but not least - I've been extremely skeptical of the whole idea of psychological counseling (too many Hollywood stereotypes and foolish machismo), but the benefits I've seen were so profound that I just had to abandon all these preconceptions.
