We had been putting off our basement renovation for years. It’s an old Toronto house, with ceilings barely 6’2”, and after every heavy rain we would nervously check it for leaks. We got three quotes for basement lowering and waterproofing and chose PRO Basement. Honestly, they were the only ones who actually explained how everything works and why they do things a certain way, instead of just giving us a price.
The end result: the ceiling is now 8'4", full waterproofing inside and out, new weeping tile around the perimeter, a sump pump, and a backwater valve (which, honestly, should have been installed years ago). They also lowered and relocated the furnace and water heater, and I didn’t even know that was possible. That alone gave us so much more room and usable space.
On top of that, the team built us a separate entrance to the basement, which is a huge benefit for everyone living in the house.
Now that the basement meets the legal height requirements, and we already have tenants moving in next month. Our only regret is not doing this five years ago. Thanks

Once we saw a PRO BASEMENT banner on our street. He belonged to a team of young guys who lowered our neighbor’s basement. Seeing the finished work, we decided to contact the company. The team continues to work carefully and professionally. The price was very reasonable. Igor’s communication and Slava’s work planning made us happy. We had problems with groundwater that was rising in our basement during the excavation, but the guys professionally coped with it and took care of the problem during the foundation work.

The whole experience was incredible of lowering our basement. Our house is more than a hundred years old, and the project turned out to be quite complicated, due to the field stone foundation and sandy soil. Proper planning and work environment of the team were at the highest level. One of the main reasons why we decided to contact PRO Basement is, of course, the team's experience, examples of completed projects and recommendations of our neighbours.
