This place stinks. They don't do bodywork, or custom paint, as the name might lead you to think. They just hang panels for insurance work and send it out the door quick as possible.

These guys completely rebuilt the front end of my car after it was ripped off. It looks fantastic, they got it done quickly, and they took the time to wash and detail it before returning it. I would absolutely recommend them and use them again any day!

Bringing your repair here might be one of the worst decisions for your vehicle and time. Our auto insurance is currently investigating their in network status due to the questionable charges and events around our claim. If you want a truthful opinion of the shop, read the 1-2 star reviews, which all have incredibly strong coincidences about their experience here.

Custom Color has unprofessional and mouthy customer service and management. They never called during the first 2 months of service to provide an update and if you do call, they make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them or they are out to lunch. I regret not towing to a shop outside of Steamboat. A previous reviewer stated it correctly when they said the shop has a small town entitlement. They had our truck for 15 weeks and the work was not completed. The shop cared more about receiving the insurance check rather than making sure the truck was safe to drive. The only way to get vehicle released back was to close the claim for incomplete work. It sounds like they have limited capabilities on what they can do, and if they can’t do it, they’ll rush to put the car back together and force it back to you. When I had initially dropped off the truck, I put a zip tie on the broken piece on the undercarriage. The zip tie and broken piece were still there after receiving the car back. There are dents in the leather seating where parts were stored in the interior. Custom insisted they were ordering parts from the dealer, but the claim shows parts ordered from a third party shop in Commerce City. Of the multiple reasons for delay, one was that an ordered part did not fit the vehicle. How can you order the wrong part when it should be specific to the VIN and make of the vehicle? They drove the car and then later stated that it was unsafe to take off the lift because the engine was not secure. I was waiting for a part that they stated was on backorder, but when I called them to ask about the specs and part number, they could not provide it.

My wife's Rav4 was hit in a parking lot and no one stopped or admitted to hitting the car. It did significant damage to the rearend, and we took it to Custom Color. They were so nice and did such an amazing job. It looks brand new, and we couldn't have been treated any better. Thanks!!

This is the first time I have ever made the effort to post a review. The management and administrative staff was/is beyond unprofessional, disrespectful and dishonest. We were taken advantage of and charged a significant amount, for nothing to be done to our car, without proper communication. Small town entitlement was/is strong and they seem to be extremely out of touch with the real world and customer service. I do NOT recommend this shop to anyone, and strongly advise to stay away considering what they have shown to be their moral compass. They should be ashamed of themselves.
