I was hoping Delta was able to help me on such short notice, but when they arrive. It was a very young technician that looked at our leak in copper piping.

There was a small pinhole it attached photo. He went back to his vehicle to call and get us a price to replace not even 6” of straight pipe. He’s like that will need $600.

I was like, your kidding right?.

So I told them that is insane and all I got I. Return was “sorry that is our book price”

If I knew that was book price I would not have had them come look at it.

So now I have to pay $150 diagnostics fee and no work was done.

Thanks for the help, please don’t use these guys.

Insanely overpriced!

Where to start... First off, there was a $145.77 (tax incl.) consultation fee for the plumber to attend and tell me how much it would cost. I asked over the phone if there was a rough cost estimate or how much of a range there was for the work I was looking for. I was told they would not provide one and there were no pricing guides. This worried me because it meant that the plumber could show up, quote me a wild price, and I would still be stuck paying $145 for no work to be done. And oh boy, that certainly was the case!

I had a new quartz countertop installed and the quartz company installed the new undermount sink and drilled the holes for a new faucet and new RO faucet. Delta Plumbers quoted me over $1800 to simply insert the faucets that I was providing into the already drilled holes, connect the water lines, and reconnect the drain.

At the time of getting the quote, I was away on vacation, and when one of my family members heard about it, they laughed and attended my house to do it instead.

Price breakdown:
Install kitchen faucet: Delta Plumbers quoted $400 (+tax). We installed it in less than 10 minutes.

Install RO faucet: Delta Plumbers quoted $250 (+tax). This faucet used a simple quick connect system and we installed it in less than 5 minutes.

For just two faucets that I was supplying, taking 15 minutes of installation time, was quoted at $650+ tax. Unreal.

Kitchen sink drain hook up: Delta Plumbers quoted $950 (+tax)!!!! Let's remember the sink was already installed by the quartz company. Delta Plumbers was not doing that part. They were simply hired to connect the dual basin/drain that was left behind and in place from the old sink to the new dual drain in the new sink. We hooked this up in 90 minutes (including drive time to and from Home Depot) and cost $55 in supplies.

So for less than 2 hours of work, I was quoted $1808 (tax incl). That's $904 an hour. Equivalent to an annual income of nearly $1.9 million dollars a year. I know people that work in trades are skilled and can make good money, but there is no plumber that is making that much money a year. Crazy overpricing!!

A pipe burst in my ceiling in the middle of the night and they were the first company to get back to me.

They cut drywall to get access to the pipe and explained to me everything that the past plumber did wrong.

Delta traced the pipe to the source and recommended remediation efforts for me to ensure this doesn’t happen again and even ran the plumbing snake through my pipes to remove the clogs.

The bill in my opinion (I am not a plumber) was expensive but fair, after all was said and done I was extremely grateful for their hard work and communicativeness throughout the process after a few stressful nights I’m glad everything is now back to normal.

We had them come to our business to do an annual inspection for our backflow valve. The technician showed up that day and checked everything, took him about 30 minutes then had to come back to put tags on but first had to send a quote for the inspection. We were quoted $250. They require a 50% deposit to complete the job the following day, which we provided over the phone where the price was still $250. They never showed up so we gave them a few days to see if they would contact us to reschedule which they did not do, but we did get a call from a gentleman saying that we were misquoted and it was actually $850(HOW DOES AN INSPECTION COST $850???). We declined since this price seemed absurd and called other plumbers that quoted us $150 for an inspection and they thought that $850 ridiculous. We called them to get our deposit back and also asked why it would be so ridiculously high and all he had to say was “that’s the book price”. This company is a joke to charge 5x the amount that other businesses charge for an inspection that took 30 minutes.

Our shower was dripping, we tried to take apart the facet but discovered the screw was stripped so we called this plumber thinking a professional would be best. They arrived on time and I described the problem very clearly making sure to repeat several times set screw was stripped. Was quoted $1200 for a new facet which they would provide, I thought that was steep so I asked how much to repair, was quoted $500, I thought it was steep but I had already taken the day off to work from home so agreed. Brad went to get tools, put an Allen key to the facet said it was stripped total time of work, 2 minutes.. I said I know I told you that can you drill it out. He said it would ruin the cartridge and I had to replace the facet and it will be $900 if I buy the facet. I asked when it could be done and he said if I get it right away, in the afternoon, just call in to tell them you have it. I reluctantly agreed as I was under pressure to get this done but it felt wrong. Rushed out bought the new facet and called in within 20 mins from when Brad left, this was just before noon. By 3:30I had not heard back so I called in again, by this time I had time to think and felt I was being taken advantage of. Was told it would be the next day. At this point I said you know what, I have a very bad feeling about this whole situation, I want my deposit back for the new facet, happy to pay for the service call but I just don't feel right about the situation and they should have informed me much sooner that they booked me in for the next day without even consulting me about it. The person on the phone couldn't help and shortly after a supervisor called me back. Said the deposit was non refundable, and basically screw you. He was short and condescending, even after I explained Brad literally put a tool to my facet and that was it, but the supervisor said nope non refundable. and at that point I lost it.

We just repaired the facet yesterday for $33 plus the cost of a new handle which I have not gotten yet but it should cost around $40. We did drill out the set screw and it DID NOT RUIN the facet just the handle, Brad lied! All in all my deposit paid was $400 which I am writing off as lesson learned to do the job ourselves. I will never have these people back in my house and I don't recommend them at all. They made off great 2 mins of work for 400 bucks. Bravo rip off.

Edit, I bought a handle off of Amazon for $21. So for under $60 I have repaired the facet ourselves. Way shy of the $500 quoted, what a mark up for labour!!!! I also read the reply, I highly doubt you will make it "right" I tried already, I was told to pound salt not refundable. I should not as a customer write this kind of review in order to get a respectable outcome. I was willing to work WITH YOU as a company, YOU REFUSED.

Brad was Stellar!!! He was not only professional but aslo so knowledgeable and confident. He was not pushy to get mee to pay more, just gave me proces and let me deciede. He was also so very kind and personable!! He played and joked around with my young curious grandson. His work was fast and precise. He cleaned even cleaned up after himself !He not only gave me an amazing price but also did some work pro bono!!!
