The building was very good 20 years ago and the management was not too bad at that time.
However, the whole building is very bad today, due to that:
1. The whole facilities are too old and out-dated, including the air conditioning system, swimming pool, parking etc. Some floors have flooding/water leakage every year. Since it is too old, small fixes don't change the state. Also changing everything is not feasible.
2. The management team is very bad and rude. They do NOT respect the tenants at all. Especially the boss, the manager, and the secretary. They tend to ignore your work orders if they could. And they will secretly go to your apartments to let new customers visit it when the lease's ending.

They only want your money and do nothing when you have issues in your apparment.
The alarm, at Chatel building (1625 de Maisonneuve West), is crazy !!!
Alarm signal start at any hours any days and if you try to disconnect it... they charge you 450 $ + taxes.
Crazy people !!! Go away !!!

This company is stealing money from students in the downtown Montreal area. They take 2 months rent and then will not give you a copy of the lease or any paper copies. They are not trust worthy and feed on student that dont know better.

This is really sad to here what's happening, especially to students, who already have enuf expenses on their plate! Thanx 4 sharing this with the rest of us!
