I called Pacific Blue to fix a shower column which had been improperly installed several years ago. The bracket holding the column to the wall had been put on backwards by the original contractor and as a result the column kept working loose from the wall. Over the years, I'd kept it attached using Velcro and tightening the bracket screws. I called Pacific Blue to remove the column and reinstall the bracket properly.

I explained all this to the technician sent by Pacific Blue and gave him the assembly diagram of the shower column so he could see exactly how the column should be properly installed including the correct placement of the bracket

I left the technician alone for several minutes and then heard a loud banging. I went to the bathroom to see what was happening and found him trying to bang the shower column back into the wall against the Velcro as he tried to tighten the bracket screws.

I told him to stop and then he began to argue with me that this was all that was needed to fix the problem. I told him, I've been doing this myself every 3 months for the past 3 years and I didn't call a plumber just to tighten a few screws.

Reluctantly, he agreed to turn off the main water supply, remove the shower column, reverse the bracket and install everything back again. This took all of 20 minutes.

In summary. He arrived at 3:31pm used our 2nd bathroom for his own purposes for several minutes, worked on tightening screws for a few minutes, argued with me for several minutes and finally around 3:40 pm began doing the work he was originally supposed to do. He left my apartment exactly at 4:00 pm.

For this I received a bill from Pacific Blue for two hours of labour which was later reduced to one hour after I complained.

I will never use them again.

Pacific Blue was the only company I called where a human answered the phone, I was able to get a diagnosis and service to came out right away. Definitely recommended

Guy showed up for 20 min, didn't do much. Claimed to do extra job he didn't do. Sent a bill for $800 and threatened to sue. Stay the hell away from these clowns. There is no way these guys' reviews are legit. Clowns.

I would highly recommend Pacific Blue Mechanical for service. I received same day service to replace my hot water tank. The quote was very reasonable (significantly less than another company) and I was also able to use a 1st time customer service $25 discount (online coupon). Mike the plumber was professional, and updated me on his ETA while running later than expected. He cleaned up and left the space free of water spills. I would use this company again.
