We came to Tracy after retaining several immigration consultants. I was told that I was ineligible to be my wifes sponsor because of my criminal record. I have a terrible criminal record. Two convictions for robbery, a conviction for trafficking, numerous assaults and over 30 entries for criminal convictions. I say miraculously, because I already had one conviction for robbing a drug store with a knife. I was blessed to be accepted at Jericho Road Christian Ministries in Ottawa. I plead guilty to my charges because I was guilty. I went to church regularly and I studied the Bible. At my sentencing hearing I was given a two year conditional sentence to be served in recovery from my drug and alcohol addictions. Why am I sharing all this with you? I want you to know that miracles do happen when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. I will get to the point.
