After having two bad experiences with licensed general contractors, I had the good fortune of recently working with Paul Doble of Doble & Son Custom Homes on my ADU build in Alameda, California. I can’t say enough about his business integrity, attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile on the project. The scope of his knowledge and experience, span over decades and all trades, making him the ideal choice for any project. I’ve had the opportunity to visit many a job site over his career as a builder and have toured many spectacular custom homes in his portfolio … truly amazing!!!

Paul and his team did a great job with our kitchen remodel. Moving an interior wall turned out to be more work than we had both first anticipated but Paul did a great job explaining why we needed extra support in under the house. His finish carpenter did an excellent job with our cabinets and crown moldings. His electricians put in new LED ceiling lights throughout the home and made it more energy efficient. My wife and I loved working with Paul.

Thank-you! My wife, kids and I could not be happier in our custom home in Los Gatos/Campbell by Doble & Son. My wife and I met Paul Doble through a recommendation from our designer in the Fall of 2018. After interviewing several general contractors, Paul Doble was the obvious choice. As construction started in Spring of 2019, Paul reinforced our initial impression, demonstrating his expertise and experience as he orchestrated an ensemble of sub-contractors to deliver a custom home which we are thrilled with – is modern and beautiful – and blends seamlessly into our existing neighborhood. I want to thank Paul for being a “rock”, navigating my wife and I through endless decisions (some quite stressful), but most importantly caring equally about our family. It was important to us that we were able to host Christmas Dinner in 2019 at our home, Paul moved mountains to make sure that happened. Though the construction of our home, Paul has become a good friend, and we would, and have, highly recommend him.

My husband and I selected Paul Doble as our general contractor and he built our custom home in 2018 in Clint Eastwood’s Tehama Community in Carmel, California. Paul worked with our Architect and Designer very effectively, providing great attention to detail. Paul has extensive experience in building custom homes, and he gave us many creative ideas and recommendations for the home. Throughout the entire build process, he provided various options for materials with different price points, which was very helpful. Paul was constantly looking out for our best interest, in trying to keep the total costs where we wanted and maintain a high quality build. My husband and I were living and working in Mountain View, California, and we came to see the progress with the home on the weekends. Paul was in constant communication with us, and he called us daily with ongoing questions and progress updates. In the end, Paul built our home in just over one year’s time with very high quality. We’re very happy to have a Doble & Sons home, and we highly recommend Paul Doble to anyone who is interested in building a custom home!
