I had a fantastic experience at Gills Point S Tire. I picked up a nail in a tire on my truck while driving to Great Falls. We are on vacation and we are towing a travel trailer so I was anxious about finding someone to repair the flat tire. I showed up early and they had the tire repaired, remounted and the spare stowed in no time. The guys were fantastic. Highly recommended.

P.S. I also feel more comfortable with this place than other auto shops in town.

I had a very poor experience at Point S Tire, specifically with Gary, and I will not be returning.

The only reason I chose Point S for my snow tires was because my husband recommended them, as his company uses them. Based on that, I expected a professional and trustworthy experience. That was not what I received.

I was told my brake rotors were cracked and that my brake pads were at 20%, and that repairs were urgent. That turned out to be completely inaccurate. After getting a second opinion from my regular shop, I was told the rotors were only slightly warped and the brake pads were actually at 40–50%. Their quote was under $400, compared to nearly $700 from Point S.

That is not a minor difference—that is a significant misrepresentation that could have cost me hundreds of dollars unnecessarily.

What made the situation worse was how I was treated. When I picked up my vehicle after a snow tire exchange, Gary was dismissive, spoke over me, and directed conversation to my husband instead of me—even though I was the one handling everything. That level of disrespect is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on how customers, especially women, are treated.

Between the inaccurate assessment, the inflated pricing, and the lack of respect, this was an extremely disappointing experience.

I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs here.

I simply cannot say enough about this place. From management to employees this place does and has it all. Tim Knapp is one of the most down to earth hard-working mother truckers out there. The recent addition of Greg in management seems to have been a boon for this shop as well. I have been purchasing my tires from the Malmstrom Base location for the last four years since moving to Great Falls and will continue to use them even after we move. These guys go above and beyond to accommodate your needs, they do quality work and are as fair as can be with regards to pricing. 10 out of 10 highly recommend this place for all your tire/alignment needs.

Brian is awesome! Great place.. very honest, great pricing! They are very knowledge and will never tell you something needs fixed when it doesn’t and then charging you high prices like some places do! Best in Great Falls! They go above and beyond and get you right in, usually the same day and not long hours of waiting time! Nice little waiting area too.
