Historic hotel in a very convenient location to the convention center and downtown. Rooms are suitably, if not stylish, then decorated enough to feel comfortable, and the bar on the roof is apparently well-known. Unfortunately my stay had some A/C issues that required some room switching, and while things were resolved with a new room in the end, it was a bit of a process to get a new room assigned.

Solid choice newr the convention center. Rooms are renovated and there's a small gym with a variety of equipment and large indoor pool. The cafe and restaurant is very nice and has delicious food options!

I was there for a volleyball tournament and not only is it conveniently located near the convention center (you don't even have to go outside to get there, just take the skywalk), the rooms were clean, and the staff were some of the nicest people I've met while traveling. This trip was for nationals, so you can imagine the hotel was fully booked with teams who traveled across the country to play. Even amidst all of the chaos, the staff didn't appear to feel pressured. They answered every question I had and wished me a good day every time I walked by the desk. Jahron, the front desk manager, is a gem! He's extremely kind and gave us recommendations for things around the city, as well as directions/the best way to get there. He even wished my daughter good luck if he saw us heading out. We were there for 6 days and my daughter was sad when it was time to leave! Mind you, we're from Florida lol. Happy to see we'll be heading to MN again this season! It was a great experience!

Overall a good stay. The club lounge left a little to be desired. Unlike most Marriott properties that still have an elite lounge with decent scrambled eggs, this property had the premade "omelet" patties. Not horrible, but I guess I was hoping for more. Similar to an experience I had a couple of months ago, there was 1 morning when nothing was ready at 6:30a. Very frustrating when you're in a time crunch. In both cases, I believe it was a staffing issue.

I am a lifetime platinum member with Bonvoy and have stayed well over 1000 nights during my life. My daughter had a volleyball tournament at the minneapolis convention center 6/19-6/22. The location was perfect and there was a skybridge which allowed for easy travel to / from the convention center to the hotel within 5 minutes (walk). In addition, I was really impressed by the newly refreshed rooms and facilities in the hotel which felt like new!

Spending most of my life in the subtropics, I was sensitive to the temperature as they dropped to 40-50F at night which is too cool to get a good night's sleep. While the AC / Heater was not able to address this situation, I was able to work with Orlando Hernandez who worked above and beyond to make sure that the stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Orlando provided heating solutions along with checking several times a day to make sure that the stay was great.

I would strongly recommend any travelers to stay here which is a perfect combination of new facilities, location, and most of all, Great Service!
