Told mme my rotors were shredded, pads at 0%, gave me $1000 quote. I didn’t believe them, I changed the pads last summer, got a second opinion, and I was right. The quote they gave for tire swap was 139 over the phone, $190 at the shop. They only want your money. They don’t care about you.

Since I came across LubeFX I don’t go anywhere else for my oil changes/ services. The staff is great! They always check everything for you and give you their honest recommendations. They always make sure you’re ok with the price before going ahead with the work. I’m always happy and satisfied with the service here.

WARNING - READ: Previously left a 5-star review, that has been revised to this 1-stsr review. Here is why (this has happened on several occasions now):

They keep a cup of very dirty transmission fluid with metal shavings to show customers that they need a transmission flush ($280 and takes 10 minutes). I didn't do it several times. But I called 4 mechanics as I was concerned about the metal shavings in my fluid. The consensus was that is very bad and means your transmission is dieing (I just bought this car, used, but not long ago).

Luckily, my buddy is a mechanic and said bring it to my shop and I'll check for you. My fluid is clean and no metal shavings. They are scamming their customers!!

I am very disappointed by this because their "service" always seemed pleasant. Sad that they can get away with taking advantage of their customers. They deserve 0-stars.

Would give less if I could!! Waited over an hour! Pulled up beside anther vehicle that was waiting at the middle bay. When the vehicle in front of us was finished a technician came out and said sorry the other vehicle should go first they only had the one bay open we would 15 min. 30 min later I go in and find out that vehicle is getting extra work. They may be able to get a vehicle out of the other bay no guarantee on how long it would take. Extremely frustrating. Be transparent if I had the time to wait not a problem, however I had to get to work. Ended up leaving without an oil change and the impression no one really cared if they were working or not. Other vehicles pulled up and left instead of waiting makes me think this kind of service is normal.

I came in for an oil change with my own filter since they said on the phone I could bring my own and save 40$. I gave it to the technician who did my oil change and he said it was the wrong one. I mentioned I used this one before when I changed my own oil and he proceeded to use it. Caught in a lie? Maybe.

Fine whatever, but at the end the tech doing my oil change showed me a cup of what looked like water mixed with black pieces in it and said there was shiny metal pieces in it. He said I should do a transmission oil change ASAP and I shouldn’t be driving on the highway. He said he wouldn’t be surprised if I got my car towed and had to get my transmission replaced. After mentioning that I would get a family member to check it he kept lowering the price down for it and kept giving me anxiety about my car possibly breaking down.

I went into my car dealership for a change and they said the oil was normal for the amount of kms I’ve driven. They showed me a sample of the old oil and it looked NOTHING like what the tech at lubefx showed me. No shiny metal pieces and it looked like normal burnt oil…NOT WATER mixed with black pieces.

Not sure what the hell that was about but I’ll NEVER recommend going here to anyone after that. It seems like they like to take advantage of people here. Is it because I’m a woman? Maybe. Definitely not going back.

My lesson? I should just pay more for reliable and trustworthy service at an actual dealership.

Great experience. Dre took care of us right out the gate. Plenty of deals on the Labour... (We saved an ample amount of money. Between coupons and deals just offered)

It was a very convenient and quick change. They completed it in 15 minutes and filled the coolant and washer fluid as well. My kids were in the car and they didn't get bored. The price was comparatively low. Special thanks for Mitchell.

This was my first time at a drive thur oil change place, and I have to just say the service I received from Mitch and the team was amazing! I was initially enthusiastic about this place for the first time a couple months ago when I noticed the 5 star reviews. I was initially impressed by the service and professionalism of the crew. My impression changed after I heard grinding from under my car.

While I know this "skid plate" isn't a vital part of my vehicle, it was not secured properly after my visit. For someone who does their own vehicle maintenance, this probably isn't a big deal, most people throw it away, but since I don't do my own maintenance, I had to spend $ to have it fixed.

I don't intend to return to this place and I have discarded the membership tag they gave me. Since it was the 5 star reviews that brought me here in the first place, I'm leaving a 1 star review to warn others who might make the same mistake.

Was going to give 2 stars, cause they were pretty quick once I finally got in. But.. 40 minute wait, and NO idea where the lineup was. People parked waiting, people lined up right outside the garage, and along the parking lot. A guy finally came out and ushered people around, maybe this should be a more frequent thing.
Next.. they said I had metal flakes and showed me fake transmission oil. Also said I needed a transmission filter change.
Problem with this is that I drive a manual, and they would have had to drain the fluid in order to check it. Also..there IS no tran filter in most manuals, and definitely not in mine.. When I asked for the invoice in two different calls, they said they would send, never did either time. This next service they wanted to offer (transmission flush) was over $400.. and VERY unneeded. This is a pressure tactic. I went and did my own fluids, and they were not nearly as dirty as the guy showed, nor were there any supposed metal flakes. Definitely not honest like they claim.

Went for an oil change, they've shown friendliness, integrity and honesty. Minch told me that my oil looks good and didn't need a change. They still performed complete check on my vehicle regardless.

If i were you i would never go to this shop. There prices are way too expensive just for engine oil and oil filter change they asked for $200 + you can’t get your own oil you have too buy it from them when my oil costs me waaay less than what they asked for so basically they will rob your wallet. So i went to fountain tire and they changed my engine oil and the oil filter for $50 imagine the difference! This place is no good for anything there prices are coming from mars 100% don’t recommend this shop. Go to fountain tire you will get excellent service excellent quality excellent customer service and there prices are very reasonable and affordable

Updated review, love the place. I bring my wife’s car here for service and the individuals always do an amazing job. I definitely noticed in the last while that selling me services has gone down. Rather they ask me first and I can address my concerns. Overall a great place with great workers and good prices I’ll continue to be back. Really good service here. The mechanics are honest and don't over charge you compared to dealerships. Only around 300 for a tranny flush is good deal. Thanks to Moe for changing our oil so quick today. We will be back :)

First oil change on my new used car and LubeFx made it a GREAT experience! Everyone was so welcoming/friendly (Mitch especially), and they were honest and sincere in checking out the car and letting me know what was okay. They really went the extra mile! (Pun intended!) Best price in the city that I've seen so far. Didn't need to wait nearly as long as they originally estimated. Well worth the drive out to the North End.

They stored my summer tires. First week I went in, they told me it would take a few days to bring in my tires. No phone call. Second week called again and was told a manager would return my call. No call. Third week, once again no tires and manager would return my call. Fourth week I called and asked to speak to the manager. Was told they weren't in but my tires were there. They were supposed to call when the tires came in. So all and all it took almost a month to get my summer tires on. Never did hear from a manager. No apology. The staff were courteous. And did the job decently. This one star is directed toward the management. I have spent just short of 2000 in my car at this location in the past year. They have lost my business going forward due to their lack of consideration for the customer.
