I was heading out to a nearby restaurant for fancy dinner but I saw the barbecue grill smoking away and had to pull over. They say you can’t call it jerk chicken unless it’s being. Bbqd tried it with yam boiled dumplings and plaintains …they gave me two patties free since it was my 1st time. lol and maybe because I told them I was heading to another resto but had to pull up on little Jamaica. Highly recommend for authentic Jamaican food. Everything was delicious and that staff are friendly.

The owner chatted with us and while we were new to the spot, the staff was game to help us figure out what to order. So much fun and the food was goood! It’s takeout only, but thankfully the new LRT station has benches so we ate there out of the cold :)

I was in the mood for some jerk chicken, this was my first time at Kingston 12. With the New Eglinton LRT, I’m now able to visit more restaurants on Eglinton Ave. The Jerk Chicken was tender and very tasty. I also had a Patty which was light and flaky. Looking forward to having more things on the menu.

Best patties and jerk chicken ever! I called ahead this evening to make sure there were pieces of jerk chicken left and was so happy that the lady put some on hold just for me. Amazing, friendly service and genuine Jamaican food.
Portion was just perfect. You HAVE to come here for a taste of Jamaica. You won't be disappointed!

the lady is so nice, she’s a vibe!! i live down the road and i’ve been smelling the fresh grilled chicken and i finally got my ass to try them out and it was worth it!!
update: yea. im devouring this.
hello, update 2 weeks later!!:
the people here are incredibly generous! i didn’t even realize how late we were when my boyfriend and i went in. apparently, they close at 9 (according to g maps), and i feel so foolish looking back. despite this, they still took our orders. we only had $15 in cash, but we were willing to accept whatever they had. they were incredibly kind and took their time, even though they shouldn’t have. thank you so much! as promised, we’ll be back lol

Service wasn't great. But its a West Indian shop so thats a given. But the true issue is the patties I recieved. Purchased a dozen, got home only to see mold on 2 of the patties. That was enough for me to dash away the whole box. Smh.

Patties were pretty good. Great flavour and flaky crust. I had a regular beef patty. Could use a litte more filling but overall they're good patties.

Ordered the Jerk Pork on a recommendation from the lady that worked there and it was terrible. It was SO dry and SO fatty. Worst jerk pork I’ve ever had in my 30 years living in Canada. I know you can do better. I even tried to call them on the phone and no answer. I had to throw the food out it was SO bad. Good thing I only bought a half pound to try it. I have tried the patties there and the festival and they are OK.

Without a doubt my favorite go to place for yard comfort food. Make the distance of a 45 minute travel just to enjoy they're fantastic food , amaxing patties, terrific service, and authentic dishes. Hospitality is always on point.
By far the closest to my mom's cooking. Always worth the distance

Picked up some beef patties and curry goat for take out last week.
Only got 1 picture before it was all gone. The goat was a hit. The patties were amazing! My mom and I have eaten a lot of patties, in and out of Jamaica, and these were one of the best. Light flaky crust and not cheap with the filling. Friendly, clean, we'll definitely be back.

Great patties that taste a bit different than the rest (in a better way). I would try them here if you're looking to get a more in depth flavor and experience.

Incredible patties! Fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. Don’t forget also their spicy hot jerk chicken. Always a treat at Kingston 12 Patty — highly recommended!

I was really looking forward to some good Jamaican food, but I was completely let down by Kingston 12 Patty Shop - They completely missed the mark with the Akee and Salt Fish.
I'm sorry to say, but it was one of the worst I’ve ever had...well I technically never had it because I couldn't bring myself to eat it because it smelled awful and spoiled. Something was off, and it smelled sickening and sour.
The only saving grace was that I had also ordered some mediocre Curry goat, and 2 Pattys.
The ackee was not edible at all. The ackee was not fresh, and it would seem there was no love or quality control in the cooking. The chef must have been wearing an n95 mask and missed smelling this before serving it.
For a dish that’s supposed to be Jamaica’s national pride, this was just sad.
If you go here, order the pattys because they were good, but I'm completely upset with the ackee and salt fish - I had to bag it immediately, seal it, and put it in the green bin on the curb.
Complete waste of money, so skip it on the menu. I'll give this place another shot because I love supporting local business, but I won't be trying this dish from here again. EVER.
