Unfortunately, my experience at Halal on Fire was very disappointing. I ordered the shawarma sandwich, and it was clear that the meat (whether chicken or lamb) was not freshly cut from a shawarma spit as expected. The sandwich lacked the basic ingredients that make a good shawarma—there were no pickles, no seasoned vegetables, and no garlic sauce. Instead, it came with a generic white sauce and bland, tasteless vegetables.
To make matters worse, the sandwich was wrapped in what appeared to be a tortilla. I've eaten shawarma all over the country, and I've never been served one on a tortilla. A good shawarma is typically served in warm pita bread, saj bread, or some type of fresh naan-style flatbread that adds texture and flavor. Using a tortilla made it feel more like a budget wrap than an authentic shawarma.
For the price they charge, the food was simply not worth it. The flavor was lacking, the ingredients felt uninspired, and the entire meal was underwhelming. The only positive aspect of my visit was that the staff was courteous and friendly.
Overall, overpriced, inauthentic, and a waste of money. I won't be returning.

I stumbled upon this place after getting out of Kia and I am so glad we went to give it a try. The food was delicious. We ordered the lamb shawarma plate and the turkish chicken, a recommendation by the server. It was both truly delicious. The meat was tender and that sauce was divine.
They were so kind to add a complimentary pakora which was delicious and there was chai on the house too. The portion size was also quite a lot. There was no way I could finish mine so I know what my lunch was going to be the next day. :)

Halal on Fire has great ratings so I thought I’d check it out. The falafel wrap was great and got the fries with a white sauce. I’d try the lamb shawarma next time and definitely save room for some baklava- I’m a sucker for it. Friendly staff in this small shop.

Drove by after running an errand and decided to give it a try. Quiet place. Window view seats. Friendly staff. Ordered the Arabic shawarma wrap and it was so good. Fresh ingredients. Can share it with another person. Also got the feta fries and 10/10. Fantastic.

This place is amazing!!!
We found about about Halal on fire from a friend. She got the lamb wrap and she let us try it. We were immediately hooked!
We ordered from them that same night, and today is our 3rd day in a row ordering from them. Definitely our new go-to. Every time we have ordered, it's also been ready in under 15 minutes.
Thank you for such delicious food!

Solid Halal spot in NW Austin. The Turkish chicken with rice was superb and huge portions. Loved the rice pudding dessert. Seating inside is extremely small (maybe 4 seats total), making it more of a take-out spot.

Halal On Fire is a go-to place for Turkish-Mediterranean halal food if you enjoy flavorful, fire-grilled meats, fresh sides, and classic dishes done well and conveniently. The food leans toward takeout/delivery, but the authenticity and quality of the menu make it popular among locals and halal food lovers alike.

Halal on Fire is incredible! Not only is the food fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, but the staff truly make the experience special. Everyone was so kind and welcoming — they went above and beyond to make me feel at home.
What really stood out was how generous and friendly they were. They offered me several free samples to try with my order, which made the whole visit fun and personal. It’s rare to find a place where the staff genuinely care about your experience like this.
Great food, amazing hospitality, and an overall fantastic vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Halal on Fire to anyone in the area!

They have a very small dining room area, but I took mine to go anyway. Arabic chicken shawarma is so yummy and the portions are big. The lady that helps me at the counter is always very nice. Quickly becoming my favorite spot.

If you want to find the most delicious products of Mediterranean cuisine under one roof, you don't need to look anywhere else. We've been here twice and we liked every product we tried. First of all, the meat is very high quality and very well marinated, my wife and I loved the kebabs. Our son preferred the chicken grill. Both the chicken was cooked very well and was juicy and the sauce on it was just right. You should definitely try their appetizers, I really liked the hummus and babaganus. For dessert, both their baklava and rice pudding are very good! If you're someone who likes yogurt drink (ayran), definitely add the homemade ayran to your meal. 5 stars!

Wouldn’t go back here for the price. The best I can say for the chicken shawarma was that it was moist; no flavor from the Arabic spices (or the Turkish that my buddy ordered). The rice was seasoned well, but had quite a lot of undercooked grains. Their white sauce tasted of just garlic. Not worth the money to try again when we have so many other places around of this same cuisine.

I ordered lamb wrap and I really like it. Friendly welcome and a clean place. I’ll definitely come again to try the other dishes.

Great food and great service. Have only been here twice so far but it's already become one of my favorite spots. All the food is prepared with care and tastes like home made. Will be back again and again to keep trying the whole menu.
The restaurant itself is more to go oriented but there are a few tables if you want to eat there and the lady at the front is so friendly and helpful if you do eat there.
